Couple things 1) For the first time I can remember since I started watching Smallville, there's a "previously on" package, so you know this is big." Really? They do a previously on, every season premiere and finale, plus there was one random time after a christmas hiatus that they did it...and sadly, they were all bigger than this lame ending.

This was the worst end to the worst season of Smallville ever. It was boring, pointless, and went nowhere. There was no major battle, and to be honest, I'm not even sure what happened. Are they going through a budget crisis? Is that the best way they could think of to kill Brianiac with no special effects?

And Laura Vanderfoot was at her worst. I hope she stays in the Phantom Zone.

I think the reason they went with the quickie video diary goodbye for lana was probably due to scheduling conflicts. She's been away training and filming for some movie she's working on, something like Street Fighter or something. So therefore those that wanted a longer drawn out goodbye sequence in person couldn't get their dream come true. It sounds to me that both KK and MR were wanting to distance themselves from SV because they want to pursue other things with their careers. Can't fault them for wanting to spread their wings with their careers.

It seems as though Lois is trying to build her own life, which doesn't give her alot of interaction with the other characters. But the one thing she will do is drop everything in order to be there for her friends and family. Please try not to be too offended that she was the one to be there for Clark. Hey, that's what friends do, they are there for one another. Clark was there for Lois when her heart was broken and comforted her
