I though they took a major step back this week. Last week was so awesome. I loved the intensity of the whole ep but especially the last scene at the graveyard. The little half smile on Lex as he walked away and Clark looked so much the like hero he should be, but what do you know here we are back to him only caring about saving poor perfect Lana and to hell with his destiny or well anything else. Who cares if the most evil man he knows gets a hold of something to control him and ultimately use him for some nefarious purpose as long as the pink princess comes back to him so that he can sit on his bitt and watch corn grow.... okay getting a little worked up.

Anyway there were things I liked, basically seeing Jimmy Bond his way to that breifcase, but this whole ep just didn't seem to gel with what we saw last week. It was like they were from two competely different shows, there was the one about the future Superman and his journey to his destiny and then there was the other show, you know the Soap Opera with the lovesick whipped puppy and the gaping story holes that we're supposed to pretend aren't there.

I liked this episode and I thought Jimmy did a great job in the cloak and dagger thing. The dance scene was terrific and I liked how he tried to be like a James Bond type of guy. Even though Clark was more focused on Lana then Lex, founding out the Brainiac might try to kill baby Clark and change Smallville would be a little thing to worry about. I want to see how this all plays out and TW is directing the next episode so we will see how the directing is as well.

Not bad, but last week was definitely better. BTW, article author, Lex was in his Daily Planet office, not the mansion.

Ya, 007 Jimmy was hilarious, but the continuity (or lack of) in the Chimmy relationship had me baffled. Who knew they were back together?? I'm totally with you Slayfan - I wanted to slap Clark when he kept saying that all that mattered was helping Lana. HOLY CRAP!! LEX LUTHOR - YOUR EVIL NEMESIS- IS ABOUT TO FIND A WAY TO CONTROL YOU AND ALL YOU CAN THINK ABOUT IS COMA LANA?!?!?!?!! *sigh* So much for that awesome Clex staredown at the cemetery last week...... And Kubicek, I'm glad you mentioned the lack of storyline between Lex being red-flagged and all of a sudden appearing in Zurich. Um, who did he kill in between to get there?!

lets just say chloe or lois was the ones that brainaic went after and did the same to them that he did to lana, would it be so hard to beileve that clark would be more concern about their well being than his own(no i don't think so) the fact is clark loves lana and always will in some degree(after he becomes superman) and he love chloe(maybe not the same way he loves lana at the moment) i have no doudt that he would reacted the same way he's acting now(nothing matter but saving the people he care about... not even himself) i understand alot of fans hate lana lang(i don't) but your haterd for this characters is leaving u out of the big picture(as in) clark can only make on choice and that is to find brainaic and it's not only for lana, but for kara/himself(why)because if he don't go after brainiac now, there will be no clark kent in the future, because brainiac is going to try to kill baby kal-el(get it) so why would he be concern about lex controlling him if there is no clark to control.

Okay if he knew about Brainiac trying to kill him back on Krypton beforehand then I would understand that situation being his only concern, but he didn't know any of that yet. All he knew was that he needed to save Lana..... that's it! And it's really really really tiring. I understand that he loves her and all that, but when you have to weigh your options, it's....... stop Lex from gaining control over me, the most powerful being on the planet that can literally obliterate the planet if I wanted to OR stop Brainiac from making my beloved princess suffer. Ummmmm? Forgive me, but his priorties ARE seriously screwed up there.

Even if it was Chloe or his mom, I'd still being angry about his decision to practically say..... "Lex doesn't matter, Lex finding the key to his secret doesn't matter, Lex controlling me like a puppet doesn't matter, Lex gaining ultimate power doesn't matter, thus (in Chloe's words) HELLO APOCALYPSE doesn't matter. All that matters is saving the pink princess from her coma of unexpressed "excruciating" pain." It's really aggravating that he doesn't want to even TRY to stop Lex. And to make it all worse, he's not even the one trying to look for Brainiac, he's got Chloe doing it for him. So while Chloe is putting her skills to use in helping him, he could have at least been TRYING to at least find Lex, but noooooo.

I willing to bet my life savings that in offscreenville, while Chloe was doing all the work and getting beat up by the feds or whatever for him, he was probably back in the room with Lana moping over her comatose body when he could've been at least making an attempt to do SOMETHING, anything to find Lex or to find a way to stop him. You know, a little thing called delegation(?)....... you do this while I do that! Whatever Smallville! Aaaaaarrrrghhhh! So freakin frustrating! Okay bitter rant over! Anyways, aside from that thorn in my side, I thought the rest of the episode was interesting. Chloe and Jimmy's Mr. and Mrs. Smith act was really good and fun. A little out of context this late in the season, but I liked it.
