I agree with TiffanyC2, I mean, how many times can Lana, Chloe and Lex "die"? It doesn't even phase me anymore because I just know they will be back the next episode as if it didn't happen.

I agree with richieice, from the first ep of season 8 to the finale it should all connect and build to the final ultimate moment that ends the series. If this was the last season it would always feel incomplete. P.S. love the shout out to Buffy. Now as for the not tights no flights thing, that was fine when the show first started and Clark was in high-school. But obviously the show went on longer than AlMiles thought it would and it is waaay past time for Clark to conquer the sky.

I'm not very sad about the lack of Lana, but I don't see how it's going to work out considering that she's currently dating Clark. And since Lex has always been a very strong character on the show I'm really struggling with the idea of seeing him go. The interaction between Clark/Lex and Lex/Lionel has always worked really well, and it's among the major reasons why I even kept watching the show for this long. Michael Rosenbaum has the tendency to bring out the best of whomever he's working along with, so I don't know if the episodes will be as strongly played out as they were before. Fortunately the chemistry between Mack and Welling works well enough to satisfy my viewing needs, otherwise I'd be a whole lot more alarmed than I am right now. Whatever the case, I'll be sad to see Smallville end. But I'd rather watch it go out with a bang over a barely audible pin drop.

All i can say is that Lana's departure from the show is long overdue..there's a limit to the clana drama. i know they are finally together, but that took 6 years, and it's far from perfect.. but keeping lex away from the show might be disastrous. He's such a strong character. And i agree that the interaction between lex/clark is addictive. The fact that he's an imminent threat works for the show. Clark has to be beyond careful. But i guess that it's time to introduce a few more villains to the show. Bizarro could have been kept till season 8 to fill in the gaps that would happen by Rosenbaum working only part time. But i have to say that i am a little disappointed by the recent episodes. I hate to say it, but they were... boring.. :s
All in all, i love smallville, and i hope the 8th season becomes the best ever!!!!

maybe have a book 2 of the smallville series. Have a good version the Lois and Clark Adventures. Of course the show title wont be smallville. I hope tom welling, erica durance, aaron, annette would be on that series. I hope it works out. Superman is a legend, the new genration should know more about this superguy.

I really think Smallville started to fizzle early on (2nd-3rd season). After the coolness of seeing Clark use his powers wore off we were left watching extremely repetitive stories with very predictable endings. Smallville is way less cheesy than Lois and Clark was but still, bad writing and sub-par story lines made me lose interest. Now I watch the show only because I feel obligated as a Superman fan but I secretly wish it would end asap to save face.
