Update on 'Smallville' Season 8 Departures - Page 2

Finally now maybe Clark can man up a little here and full fill his destiny of being Superman. Maybe even actually FLY already. More villians and more action. They are not in high school any more so enough of the pathetic teen drama crap with lana. She no longer has a point on the show. Besides the editor is right. It's just a matter of how they are credited, as guest stars instead of in the opening credits. they'll still be around here and there.

I agree with batfan. I dont think they will make him fly. Michael Rosenbaum opens up the arrival of new stronger villians to match up with clark and form his destiny. Im glad that lana will only be in like 3 episodes because she is filiming that horrible remake of streetfighter. She has no point outside of an highschool crush. and they are older now.

Thank God that the Lana express is heading out of town. I do not mind her character when she is normal, but the neverending angst of Clana makes me nauseous. Maybe, now Clark can become Superman....I will not be happy if Chloe does not return. She is my favorite charcter and Clark could still use a sidekick from time to time...

The departure of these two major characters will enable the show to develop other characters. We barely know Brainiac, Martian Manhunter, and Green Arrow. I'm hoping Clark will finally learn is full potential and accept his destiny. Perhaps these new characters will aid him in this journey.

Time for a happy dance. If Lana is only in the first third that means the end of Clana and Clark will finally be able to move on. As for Lex it sounds as if he will be in enough eps that we won't miss him too much and it still leaves room for some other villians to enter the scene and shake things up. oh happy day...

the show will be real different now..... i like lana... just make sure that it would be interesting even without some major characters....

Should be intersting I've been watching since season 1 & have heard rumore that Season 8 will be the final season wich is good in a way yes i'll miss it if it doe indeed end but @ leat it won't go lame. The cast need to go on ot bigger & better things

Less Lana and I am betting Chloe too, will mean more development of Clark, Kara and Lois. It also means will see Clark interact more with Lois, Kara and Jimmy. Less Lex means they have to handle his story with no filler. I can see no downfall. This has to force them to focus on the big beloved Superman characters, right?
