'Smallville' Season 8 Experiences Cast Shake Up

As we reported previously, there have been rumors going around that Michael Rosenbaum, Kristin Kreuk, and Allison Mack may not return for Smallville's eighth season. The contracts for all three actors are up at the end of this year, leaving them with the option to move on even if the CW would love to renegotiate their deals. Today, Michael Ausiello at TVGuide.com is confirming which of these actors will not be returning as series regulars next year. What could this mean for the future of the CW's most popular scripted series?

i dont know how they will do this what does lana get a job somewhere else and comes in and out like ercia durance or does her meteor infected charity thing take her around the country

The show has no choice but to radically change most of what it's about. I'm hoping for a Roseanne final season-level meltdown.

If they take lana away , i will not see the show again !!!!! In fact i willl be so disapointed!!The only reason i ave been watching sv woz coz of lana and clark!!
CLANA4EVER NO MATTER WAT !!I HOPE LOIS DIES!!! SMALLVILLE IS 4 LANA , SUPERMAN IS FOR LOIS!!! If u all clois fans knew all bout the old superman u would know that lois falls in love wiid SUPERMAN not wid clark , in fact LOIS ignores clark !!! i hate her!!!!! GRGGRGRG

I am sorry to hear that MR is not signing to be a regular with Smallville and will only be in a handful of episodes. I am not sorry to see KK leave since she said she wants to do other things and now she has the opportunity to do it. She will be in some episodes so that is cool.

michael rosenbaum not coming back to smallville is very sad. I have loved watching him play lex and to see how his character has evolved next to clark's evolution. Im sure that when he guest stars next season it will be great. I am very glad that lana is not coming back to smallville. She was not well written and rather annoying. Now clark can focus on his destiny rather than a girl he is not going to wind up with anyway. Besides, they have to lay the ground work for him to be with lois

A couple of comments:
1) Micheal Rosenbaum is AWESOME and I am going to be sad to see the show not revolve around him. I have been watching Season 1 over again and I have to say he brought something different/interesting to the show. I'm glad hes moving onto other things though!
2) I like Kristen Kreuk...but the Clana thing they have going on is bringing the show down. I understand that Lana/Clark are supposed to be togehter in Smallville...but they do not end up together..enough is enough.!
