It seems that Lana did not die in that truck explosion from what I have heard.I was a bit upset when John schnieder was killed off the show.Lana ditching lex was a good move.that evil bad man.Hopefully clark will realize that he can fly in this upcoming season. Its great that lana finally knows clarks secret, love how that all came out.Chloe has a fantastic personality and a "hard to resist" attractive role. I am surprised that clark was never really seduced by her.

I agree, Chloe is the only "good-girl" in the show...and I mean good-girl, not vulnerable like Lana! Clark cannot fly as Clark in the show according to the contract...unless they renogiated---Clark cannot hook up with Lois either as specified by the contract...or so I read. I love Chloe Sullivan--she's everything a woman should be---honest, funny, smart, strong and very intuitive! She's the phenomenal woman of this day and age, and I love that character for empowering women in a very positive way. Lana is Pretty and this season (S7) she and Clark will finally be get together with no secrets...I do like her character, she's too much of a bimbo. A complete opposite to Chloe!

I meant I do NOT like the Lana character--- although I love the actress (Kristen Kreuk) who plays her. She's very talented. I love Allison Mack who plays Chloe too-- she's one of the best actresses I've ever seen. She's simply brilliant!!!

Hey cecil44 what contract? Where did you find this out I'd like to see it.
I agree with the acting ability of the girls but I don't like the character of Lana. She's always getting into trouble or lex is getting her into trouble and Clark saves her, And she still ends up with Lex.
Clark is starting to piss me off too. He has had many chances to move on with other girls and still hangs around Lana. Either they are together or not but it's getting annoying already. Now Lana fakes her death as if lex won't find her. I must admit he's a preety good bad guy. The show won't be the same without him.

Batfan114, I'll try to find the source and give you a link so you can read it yourself... Smallville is the only show I've ever followed since its inception...although now that seems like it will change with Lex gone. I agree that the Character Lana seems to never grow... which is kinda sad because I loved that character so much when smallville first started. You must be kiddin' "pretty good bad guy" is surely an understatement! He's a fantastic actor!! I'm really looking forward to the new season, but I hope they will bring back some of the original characters--- for example pete! Wonder woman and Batman would also be a welcome addition as far as am concerned. I'd like to see more of Clark superpowers than of Clark's love-life. As intriguing as it might be, there are tons of romantic comedies for that!

You have to "put up" with all the romance in the sotoryline of Smallville - remember, it's about how Clark becomes Superman, so it involves all the intricate details of his life, and everything that attributes to the definition of his character. He wouldn't be the same man as Superman if all these emotional delemmas didn't take place in his earlier years. Besides, the chemistry between Clark and Lana is so amazing to watch, I have no idea how Tom's wife sleeps at night!

It's true that lana was cool in the begining but she never really grew as cecil44 said. It would also be cool to see some old characters come back even if it's for the last season. As for clark's powers, doesn't it bother anyone else that he still doesn't fly. Supergirl is coming to the show with the ability already. Not to mention last season ended with bizaro cloning himself from Clark and flying, yet clark himself can't.
Didn't clark fly at some point. Granted it was under inflouence of red kryptonite but he still flew.

Clark cannot fly as Clark--- again according to the contract. That is why that time that he flew, he was not Clark, he was Kal-el! And in the last episode, Bizaro-Clark can fly but Clark himself can't. I don't know whether there has been any renogotiations but the producers said that Clark would never fly until he actually put on the superman suit. My guess here is that if he does fly, it will be in the last season.
