Smallville: Episode 7.11 "Siren" Recap

Tom Welling and Justin Hartley, Smallville

It's been more than one year since Oliver Queen left with his totally awesome Justice League on Smallville. Tonight, the Green Arrow makes his triumphant return to remind us all why a Justice League spin-off of Smallville would be the smartest thing Dawn Ostroff could possibly do.

Chloe (Allison Mack) is at the Daly Planet doing some crazy hacking stuff for someone late at night. A chick with short blonde hair wearing fishnets hurls a knife at Chloe. It's a stripper! It's a prostitute! No, it's the Black Canary! Our intrepid computer hacker runs away, asking her mystery man for assistance on the roof. Black Canary catches up to her, but not before Chloe's cavalry arrives in the form of the Green Arrow!

Heres the thing. When I saw Lois and Oliver together I almost cried. I knew the moment they saw each other again, all those feelings would come back. I also knew that they would eventually have to have the "I can't date you" talk. Another thing that I am totally freaking out about at this point is Clark and Lana. Oh my gosh. In the beginning I was like, what is going on with them to. during the whole episode, I was screaming at the TV telling them to talk and work it out. Ugh it makes me mad. The Black Canary girl was cool. I think it's good to have someone like that in Smallville. She brought a real twist to this episode. I loved that Oliver came back. He's a really good character and I wish he could have stayed for a couple seasons.

some of the words that came out of clark's mouth were nothing but utter nonsense. They didn't reflect past events.

the best part of the show was when black canary knocked out chloe. it was the only time i had laughed all day. they should keep black canary around to shut up lois whenever she goes on her rants.

Another thing, when Lionel approached Lana about the whole, "I need you to spy on Lex for me" thing I screamed. The same thing happened in season six when she was forced to marry Lex. She really shouldn't be munipulated like that. At the end of the episode I was happy that the Black Canary decided to join the Justice League, Smallville is really starting to turn towards the Superman mythology with bringing in new heros and having Lois and Clark become closer as friends and maybe even eventually more than friends. Back to the Lana topic. I really hope she meant what she said when she said that she is going to tell Clark everything from now on. I really do think that she wants to change, you can see it in her eyes.

and for lanasdagirl ( i'm asking you nicely ) can you please stop talking badly about Chloe. I think we all agree when I say that I don't think that anybody should say something directly mean about characters anymore. the people on Kristins page are just discussing Lana. I am on the Lana lover side of the picket fence but I am not the one to judge people when it comes to their opinions.

Lanarocks you might like chloe but you have to admit that when Black Canary hit chloe, it was pertty funny, but the best part of the show to me is seeing lex luther on his backside. I have to hand it to green arrow when it come to hurting lex he is number 1 in line, me and him have something in commen. The fight between was the best fight i have ever seen on smallville. I agree green arrow need to be on more smallville shows. I LOVE LANA and clark should forgive her everyone make mistakes, no one is perfect. Clark was really letting her have it, but i don't blame him because i would be mad too.

GREAT EPISODE!!! I was so happy to see Green Arrow/Oliver Queen back playing his role and kickin' butt! And even though I was skeptical about the Black Canary, she actually wasn't as awful as I was expecting - even in the hooker fishnets (although she's gotta loose that black eye make-up... the person she's trying to save will be dead by the time she finishes applying the face paint.) She held her own as a superhero, though - even if she had good-side/ bad-side mixed up - Ollie set her straight. Go JL team!!
