Smallville: Episode 7.9 "Gemini" Recap

Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, and Kristin Kreuk from Smallville

Previously on Smallville, Zor-El fought with Clark and attempted to shroud the world in darkness with an eclipse. Clark destroyed the blue crystal, which somehow caused Kara (Laura Vandervoort) to wake up in Detroit with a pesky case of amnesia. Lois got it on with Grant, forcing Chloe to give her a verbal smackdown, and also causing Lex to demand that Grant break up with her. He tries, but that just leads to more making out. Oh, and Grant might actually be Julian Luthor, Lex's brother. Who saw that one coming?

BIZARRO!!! YEAH!!!! LEX was awesome! Chloe awesome as always! Bizarro twist was just too great for words!

I knew something was up when Clark/Bizzaro flew up the middle of the stair case to save Chloe and Jimmy. Clark can't fly!!

That was GREAT...I think the best one yet. I thought that something was wrong when he could read kryptonian......MAN, why does christmas have to come know?? We will have to wait to see what happens.....Then Pete will be back....Man this is so GREAT!!!!

I feel cheated. I don't care about Bizarro I care about Clark and this bait and switch bothers me. First, I think the "clone" device is very uncreative and demonstrates weak writing when relied on so extensively. Second, this is exactly what I meant when I said the writers can throw in some random retroactive information to explain character changes and this also shows weak writing IMO.

I actually watched it twice just so I could watch how Tom Welling slips in subltle differences. And yes, the flying was a major clue but just the whole letting go of finding Kara, it's not like Clark to just give up.
