Smallville: Episode 7.8 "Blue" Recap

Previously on Smallville: Lana (or fake Lana) returned from the dead. Lex became obsessed with Clark's super-cousin, Kara. Clark found a blue crystal with his birth mother, Lara's, DNA.

How can anyone keep all these names straight? Lana, Lara, Kara, does Smallville takes place in an alternate dimension with only a 10-letter alphabet. Anyway, tonight's episode of Smallville sees Clark reunite with his mom and uncle. Those suitcases must have been packed tight, because the Els brought all their family baggage with them from Krypton.

I liked this episode. The twist were great and aside from the silly amnesia from Kara scene this is turning into a good season. Please end this strike soon!

Man, that was great. OMG....julian....hes alive. Why did the Thanksgiving break have to come know??? I cant wait to see what is in store for the christmas show!!!!

HORRID HORRID HORROR that was this episode. What after all the good plotlines about Julian he's suddenly alive??? Are they kiddin me??? I can't believe such crap. Julian better be a clone!! or everything else they've written about Lex stops to make sense. The whole point is that Lex thought he killed his brother so he got messed up. Then when he remembered it was shown that he actually saw his mom kill his brother, but covered it up so that his mom would be spared. Now what???? Julian's been alive and well and Lex knew about it all along??? YOU kidding me??? That would be a terrible terrible twist to one of the best written part of smallville. The one thing I really liked was that at least with Lex it was a bit consistant, now all of a sudden they throw in this horrid twist. Grant better be a CLONE is all I'm saying!

I'm so sick of every kryptonian except for Clark to be able to fly. I know that when the series first began Millar and Gough said "no tights, no flights", but now they are just being stubborn about it. Kara flies, Zor-El flies, even Braniac flies. Oh, and "Kal" can fly but only when he's under the influence of red K???? ridiculous

It's a mystery to me why you guys care whether Clark can fly when the whole show has ceased to make sense. I'm hoping either most of the characters turn out to be clones or we find out we have been watching someone's dream for the past couple of seasons.

We care because him flying does not make him superman. Its the total package. Its more the suit that does it and its about clark so if anything putting the suit on makes him superman. Its stupid for him to have every power but that one. I guess they are playing the angle that when he does fly he will be ready. I know he had to come into his powers but in the actual story he could fly when he was still on the farm. And to have Kara and zor-el and brainiac fly just seems stupid. Its a matter of the writers changing the story to fit hollywood. At this point, the show has soooo many more problems than him not flying. It would help though. Much more of this and the show will be beyond help. They only have a season and a half left
