I think that the writing on smallville is getting worse by the episode this season. With this quick evil transition...she has to be the clone. I agree with batfan, Do the writers think that we are so stupid that we are buying that lana evolving into this evil mad wonam without any explanation. I think they could have done alot better with making a storyline to help clark accept his destiny. What about the governemnt and the crystal. Doing a cadmus type storyline to progress clark along. This could have incorporated kara as well as bring back green arrow, impule, aquaman etc. For two people who claim they love eachother like clark and lana they have a funny way of showing it. There is nothing there anymore. Clark needs a better reason to become superman then evil princess lana clone. The writers are confused, all the while blurring the line between teen drama and action drama series. So the writers need to redeem themselves and have clark kill lana...one can only hope

Kal-El's Gal here: I told you it was going to be sickening! And I'm a Lana fan! The writers are really slipping (as I writter myself, I should know) there is no consistency. Although I can't wait to see "Supergirl" play Lara, we saw Lara in one of the first episodes and she had dark hair. They screwed up with Chloe's mom, too. The story was that Chloe came down to breakfast one morning and found her dad trying to make pancakes, not that she saw her mom being dragged away by mental hospital workers. And let's not even get into the differences between the comics and the show! I'm sick of it already!

I love that you guys think Lana didn't have enough time to learn anything from the Luthors, but a brand new clone with her identical DNA has had plenty of time. How did the clone become an evil genius?

First off let me say that Lionel was so ****ing awesome. I’m with Batfan. Dude, finally someone calls this broad out after all this time! At least someone notices her Lex-like tendencies. That ugly head of hers is finally starting to reveal itself…. To the other characters I mean…. As you already know I already knew it’s always been there. And I don’t really need to go there do I Mason? HeHe…. Gotta love me some Lionel! Guess that Lana drug they’re spraying in the air in Lanaville doesn’t work on him huh?!! LOL!!! And to whoever said “First you hate her because she's the perfect little princess. Now they are making her look a bit sinister and you still hate her even more. Obviously you don't know what you want from her character.” Dude, don’t make me!! I’m gonna hold back! Batfan, I ain’t gonna do it!

Obviously, I hate her because the writers portray her as little miss innocent and even after all that she has done, they still try to portray her as the little miss innocent one, never having to suffer any consequences what-so-ever no matter what she does. It’s always put off on someone else or wisked away with some dumb ass excuse. I love the fact that her sinister side is finally starting to peak to other characters. I love that! It finally proves what I have said a thousand times over. But at the same time I still hate her because the writers try to water it down too much, trying to make it seem like she’s just now moving toward that edge, but **** that!!! She has already been to the edge and gone the hell over!!

But, enough of that….cause I will just end up re-writing a whole encyclopedia that others and myself have already written on why we think she’s already gone over that “edge” that the writers claim she is ‘JUST NOW’ getting to because of..... what was that word Lionel used.... Aw yes....'Retribution'. Whatever!! Anyways, on to the rest of the show. For the most part, I thought it was great, with the exception of some parts of the Clana scenes…. Of course. (Wouldn’t be a worthy Lana-hater if I didn’t go there, now would I?) Now I absolutely love the fact that she got thrown off the building (would’ve been even more ‘BOSS’ if she actually hit the ground…. LOL!!.... Sorry…. Wishful thinking)

But I agree with Batfan, not enough emotion when she first got thrown off, that face she made was understandable when she saw Clark coming, but there still should’ve been some kind of scream, terror, or something when he first threw her off. But that mid-air catch was crazy, then he smashes the car unflenched!! I loved it!! But then I’m like what the ****!! After she just almost died, they just stare into each others gazing eyes!! Are you kidding me?!! No kiss kiss, no bang bang! You know I’m not a Clana fan, but I was expecting some major face sucking after that save. It looked like they were gonna do it there for a second, but then they faces just lean with that look. Whatever!! And yes, this was the opportune moment for Clark to fly. For a second, I thought he was going to, it looked liked it a little, until he hit the ground (well the car).

And as for that Clana scene @ the end, I’m actually gonna commend Lana for saying what she said about their relationship; about him doing what he needs to do; about her standing in the way. By far, the smartest thing that’s come out of her mouth…. (Mason don’t start doing back flips just yet)… I gotta give her props for @ least saying it. But I still don’t like the b**** though, because she still phony. Anyways, you would think that after all that has happened in this episode, and the last episode even, that Clark would’ve come to some realization, even after Lana’s little speech there. But nope....just ding dong dumb alien. It just hits the **** when he said he has everything he’s ever wanted right there on the farm with him and she just says “ok”.
