Kristin KreukKristin Kreuk, who has spent plenty of time kicking butt as Lana Lang on the CW's Smallville, recently signed on for a chance to beat up bad guys on the big screen.  She'll be playing the titular martial-arts warrior in the film Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, which is based on the popular video game franchise.  If the film sounds like a piece of late 1980s nostalgia that could be because the screenplay was written by Justin Marks, who has also scripted upcoming films based on Masters of the Universe and Voltron.  Whether this is a cinematic masterpiece in the making or a surefire sign of the apocalypse is up to you to decide.

Interesting. Not sure what I think of it, but maybe it won't be horrible....maybe.

And I picked Silent Hill in the poll because I love that video game and the movie was pretty decent.

How can you have a poll about movies based on video games and leave out the alltime best - "Mortal Combat?" The first Mortal Combat movie was great. The second was among the worst movies ever made.

Chun Li is awesome. The upside down spin kick ruled. And Mortal Kombat was a terrible movie.

A bad director can ruin even the greatest of scripts, so why do they insist on using the same terrible directors?
Also, I wonder how much Kristin will have to bulk up and whether it would affect her role in Smallvile.
Kristen is a great actress, but sadly that won't be enough, as history has shown- this movie is doomed.
