Smallville KaraRecently, the CW began airing Smallville season 7 promos that featured Supergirl (Laura Vandervoort), and only Supergirl, raising the question among fans as to just how integral the girl of steel will be in the season 7 story.  With the talk of Smallville coming to end, is it possible the CW is laying the seed for a Kara centric series?

Perhaps they'll continue Smallville, with her as a central protagonist?

This is pure speculation. We're talking months from now. Green Arrow was another character everyone liked, but what happened to him? huh?

This is just too wrong for words!!! I'd be very upset if she steals the spotlight from those that really deserve it : i.e. Clark, Lex, Chloe and Lois (sorry Lana lovers, I just don't like the character!)

I dont see them doing it for a spinoff series. I think they are doing to change up season 7 and display a hot new female character like the article says. im jazzed about seeing supergirl but not at the expense of the story. If they want to have her have a strong role in the beginning because of bizzaro fighting clark then fine but clark was here first and it about his transfromation. There was so much going on before she showed up. If they kill the story with all supergirl then they have really jumped the shark.

I don't think supergirl will over shaodow the rest of the crew on the show. Naturally in the begining she's the new girl that people want to know about but then I'm sure she'll blend in with the others. As for a spinoff, I really don't think so. They had a better spinoff idea with JLA and nothing so I doubt they'll concentrate on just supergirl.

If the Supergirl character starts to overshadow the other characters, that would be a mistake and a shame. That would be dissing the others who have worked so hard and have drawn, thru their acting skills, Smallville's audience. There are enough talented actors on that series, without building up her character. Why is it that good shows or 'the studio suits' aren't happy unless they alter/"improve" a show to the point where it has lost its audience. Loving the story line, lose Supergirl or shrink her storyline. And what about the Justice League as a spin-off series?! I vote for that.

We are all for the JLA here buddy. From seeing the premiere it does'nt look like the studio suits are going to use supergirl to overshadow any one. AS for the JLA there is a movie deal in the makes.
