WOW GUYS!!! AMAZING POSTS ALL AROUND!!!! I don't have time to contribute my usual lengthy response, but Cecil that was a ROCKIN' post!!! Loved it all!!! You always give me hope for Chlois, so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. Mxlpdilk, your statement of them not making Clark too good or Lex too evil was right on!! WHY the hell is that?!?! Comic-book-land is a land of absolutes, not GRAY!!! Bunch o' twits. Anyway, more later when I'm not half asleep already. Can't wait to read more excellent insights!!

But it is also possible that they could go your way and let her recover eventually. My gut tells me Chlois is not going to happen, I don't know why exactly. And I have not forgotten that my gut was dead wrong on the way they were going with Lana. But logically I wonder why they would have brought Lois to Smallville just to have her end up in the way. If they wanted to end with Chlois it would have been easier to leave Lois out and not bother with her weak and meandering character development. But maybe they needed her for filler too, not knowing how many seasons they would get. I also wonder how they would expect us to interpret the traditional beginning of the Clark and Lois relationship, where they meet for the first time in Metropolis and Lois hardly gives him the time of day. On the other hand that's already pretty screwed up by bringing Lois into Smallville anyway, another reason to wonder why they did that in the first place. One good reason for the ending I suggested is

One good reason for the ending I suggested is to give us a real hero: Chloe. Clark is a letdown so far in my opinion because he is still running from his responsibility to use his abilities to their full potential. Maybe he needs a lesson from a real human hero to teach him the meaning of being a real superhero. I think this would be much more elegant than just having Chloe get shot and die without her death accomplishing anything. ---- "why would he believe this time round that she will not come back to life?" If Clark knows he is dying then suddenly he is OK but Chloe appears to be dead and after awhile she begins to decompose, it would be pretty clear to Clark that using her power to save him killed her. --- "Why would he fall for Lois in the future and not Chloe?" We often don't know what we've got til it's gone. Maybe Clark has been taking Chloe for granted and he realizes it only after she is gone. Then when he gets thrown in with Lois in Metropolis and she exhibits C

Then when he gets thrown in with Lois in Metropolis and she exhibits Chloe-like qualities he realizes how much he loves those qualities and falls for Lois. --- Cecil, you make a really good point about the Fever letter and Chloe's hoping to be the kind of girl you grow into. But consider that Lois will be the same kind of girl later on as Chloe is now, so Lois actually could be the one to fulfill that foreshadowing after Clark has "grown into" wanting that kind of girl.

OooooH!!!! Mxlpdilk I LOVED your statement "Maybe he needs a lesson from a real human hero to teach him the meaning of being a real superhero". I've been thinking for some time that Chloe has been exhibiting more heroic and 100% good (as opposed to wishy washy gray) tendencies than Clark. So from that aspect I can see your theory. In that sense giving Clark the gargantuous sized kick in the ass he needs. And boy does he NEED one!!! The little wimp....... And as we seem to be posting at the exact same time tonight I kind of cut into your posts - sorry. But now I'm really going to bed..... my fingers are barely typing anymore.

I think Lana isnt annoying, that pretty face makes her nothing but great, I think for season 8 they should give the actress the amount of many she asks for and give her a big part with or without clark, I think she could go on without clark and give her a bigger plot on the show.

I agree with the person Above me Lana is so sexy and hot and beautiful shell be fine in smallville with or with out Clark, they can come up with a better part foe her, and I dont think they are gonna kill her off because if they were they would of done it already this season but they didnt and thats for a reason, the writers dont wanna get her off because shes a great part the only thing is that she has to have a plot of her own but besides that shes the best, LanaRocks
