also clark and lana do always fail bcuz they don't tell each other the damn truth lana has just as many secrets as clark remeber she killed jason's mother and lex covered it up?on some level clark doesn't trust lana and i do agree what was that hug about and does clark know a woman will let you know if you are hurting her.clark doesn need to fly.y has he made the connection that if kal-el can fly so can he and clark did fly when he and chloe went to the dance and the storm hit he flies inside the funnell to save lana who is in her car spinning.

First if there is going to be any argument on any matter then anyone coming in under anonymous please at least give us you names! No it doesn't have to be your real names but something. Next To hell with the whole clana thing. It's been six going on 7 years and it's tiring already. Separate these 2 will ya. Let clark date lois or who ever and lana, well, i really don't care about her she's an annoying little twit to me and many others, if you go to the topic cecil44 gave you'll see there what I mean. Anyway lets see more power development. Lets see clark fly or actually use his brain for a change. And clarks been here for 18 years and kara what? a week? Yet she can fly. As mentioned before he has flown. Yes as kal-el, but he is kal-el so if one can do it then why not the other?

thnks cecil i just saw the eps. where it is Kalel flying. But like Batfan mentioned and i agree with, if Kalel can do it than why not Clark. It is the same thing. At one point they show Clark fly, what are the producers problem. And i think Lana should have been gone from Smallville or better yet dead, though i like her charachter, but no one is supposed to know who Clark is, so can we give her some memory loss and be gone with her already. I still love Smallville they just need a better writing team.

The whole clana issue needs to ne but to rest. If he never opened up to after 7 seasons then he will never at this point because the show is coming to a close and you know he winds up with lois. Most heroes keep love interests at arms length anyway to protect them...its like a code or something Since this is the story before superman then lana is just filler. He already has chloe to confide in. And i dont feel bad for lana for clark shuttting her out because, in the words of cecil44 "lana is the worst character ever written"...sweet. She is doing fine after all she can do whatever she wants-no accountability is a great thing. So i say squash clana and now that the show has is coming to a close, focus on the evoloution of clark and teach to him to fly!

Everyone is forgetting that Smallville is about Clark's struggle to accept his destiny as Superman. It's not about him flying, it's about the things that lead him to flight, etc. He has a mental block when it comes to flying, because it is something Kal-El can do, and he is still denying the fact that HE IS KAL-EL. He won't even let Kara call him that! And she can fly because she knows all about her earthly powers, and has no quams about who she is and what she can do, whereas Clark is still desperately obsessed with being "normal" and "human". This should be understandable to everyone out there, it's scary when your destiny is bigger than you are. Even Chloe doesn't want to have anything to do with Meteor Freaks now that she knows she's one. And leave Lana alone, she's not a twit. Everyone she's ever loved has left her, or betrayed her. She's basically just a smart mouthed, tramp. Remember, she's done the Green Arrow, Aquaman, and more! Superman is going to get sloppy seconds from his JLA friends! That doesn't happen in the comics. I think they should bring on Wonder Woman - she and Superman have a little fling - I bet not many people knew that! Now THAT'S a match!

First: Anonymous give us a name-- too many anon in this posting. Ok, moving: Lana is a TWIT! The biggest there is. Lois as far as we know did not have sex with Green arrow, or with Aquaman either! They never got enough time to be close what with Green arrow running off to save the day whenever things "heated up" as Lois put it, and with aquaman only in Smallville for one episode. So Superman will not be getting sloppy seconds. Ok, they have written Lois Lana badly, I agree-- but not badly as a Character--- they have written her badly as the ICONIC LOIS LANE. There's a difference. Lois as character in Smallville? Totally normal! Cool, Spanky, hip, and a little bit messed up education wise. But does that necessarily make her a bad character? For Smallville? Absolutely not. For Superman Universe-Yes. But this IS Smallville, and we don't know how they intend her character to grow. If they show us Lois becoming passionate with Journalism and working her butt off to deserve her job at the DP

then she automatically shifts from being a mart mouth to being a smart reporter. And truth be told, although we would all like Lois to have started off as Chloe did-- all into journalism, the idea of her growing into it makes for some good drama. Ok, now on to LANA-- Our "Leading lady". First up, I think they should rename the show to "Lanaville". After all, it's all about Lana. Every other character is sacrificed for Lana. To begin with: Clark is shown as very smart and growing into becoming Superman when Lana is not around-- Clark embraces his powers (although he's yet to embrace his roots--understandably), and actually uses them for good. Then In comes Lana, and what does Clark do? he becomes totally unsupermanly-- he ATTEMPTS to KILL-- He attempted to Kill Lionel, he attempted to kill Lex, all in one episode. Note Clark cannot even Kill Zod to save mankind, because he's not a murderer, but he's willing to KILL Lex and Lionel for Lana. Is this the superman you want? Next Lex: Super

In comes Lana- and suddenly Lex becomes a pathetic moronic love-sick puppy. Lex fakes?????! baby to be with Lana? How pathetic is that? It does not make him evil, makes him pathetic. In comes Lana: Chloe becomes disloyal--makes a deal with Lionel, Lana snoops/violates Chloe's privacy, but Chloe's character is sacrificed for poor miss perfect: Chloe apologizes?? for what? Clark becomes superman because he screws up things with lana, ends up with Lois because he screws up things with Lana? You kiddin' me? And true couples should be honest with each other-- Clark did try, and Lana ended up dead. Clark was protecting Lana, we know this, we saw this. Clark even sacrificed his dad for Lana--indirectly but still. Lana has lied to Clark's face more than Clark has. At least Clark had a good reason for keeping his secret, besides Lois did not push Green arrow for his secret. Lana's lies are never to protect Clark. They are all selfish..
