I'll admit I was more than a little apprehensive as I started watching the premiere episode of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila 2. I have watched a lot of crummy TV in my time writing about reality shows, and I thought I had a strong constitution for the worst of it. Age of Love, Survival of the Richest? Sure, a weaker person might have lost all hope for humanity after that, but I persevered. Then along came the A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila spin-off That's Amore! and the sheer overwhelming bland badness of that series nearly broke me. So I basically watched the premiere episode of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila sort of all tensed up, waiting for it to become as bad or worse than some recent writers-strike-rushed reality series. By the end, I was relaxed: yes, it's trashy, sleazy, manufactured, pandering to the lowest common denominator, etc. But – and believe me, I know the fact that it's not completely at the bottom could just mean it has room to slide – it still somehow wasn't as bad as I was expecting. And that's why you should always lower your expectations! Here were some of the highlights of the episode for me. To read the rest, click here.

Dangit, stop hating on the soul patch! Tony Almeida had one, for Pete's sake. Great commentary on the careers though. I was too busy trying to learn their names to notice, but those are some pretty hilariously specific jobs.

I'll hate on the soul patch all I want; soul patches killed my father. I won't rest until all soul patches across the globe have been shaved or grown into a proper beard. It's my cause. Secondly, I forgot to mention another important reaction to the show: my despair at realize that I, unlike Tila, will never ever have a reason to exclaim, "Get into the cages!" and then have a bunch of people cheer at the idea of getting into the cages. And my life feels hollow and empty for it.

I heard the whole show is a sham and Tila is heterosexual. Also, Bobby says she never called him after the first season's final episode aired... Hmmm...Could it be possible? Reality television shows really aren't reality after all?

I think Tila has one of the best reality shows out there....what could be better then guys and girls fighting over a hottie like Tila...? Her attitude makes the show and I heard the unsensored version is way to hott for TV. The only thing I could say it needs improvment on are the contests are a lil weak..? Other then that the crazier the better in my book.Oh and if she's onna get girls like Dani on there they should at least be HOT....
