Micheal Schfield in Prision Break. After everything he's been through, his finally free, going to start a family and gets killed off. Very Sad

For me one that sticks out in my mind for no particular reason is Nate from Six Feet Under. For a show thats all about death none of them bothered me until his.

Dean going to hell in the S3 finale. Yes, I knew he was coming back, but it still very much got to me!
I congratulate Kripke and Co. for not doing a last minute save, though.

I would have to say Kathy from Big Love. I was so not expecting her to die or even die that way.

The Dean answer is a good one. I expected him to get out of the deal at the last minute, but, no, it didn't happen. Dean went straight to hell and was tortured--it was so sad.

I kind of wish Kara from BSG had not died. The ending scene was beautifully done, but I kind of felt bad for Lee--he was all alone.

You know, I actually didn't expect Dean to get out of the deal, honestly. I'm not just saying that in hindsight. But seeing it was still hard on me. I don't think a season finale ever made that much impact for me as this one. Dean hanging there, in pain, I couldn't shake that image for a long time.
And I was angry at myself because feeling that way it is pathetic (I mean "Dean is in hell" was the first thought I had for like 2 weeks when waking up in the morning after I saw the finale) both because it's a fictional character and because there was no doubt he'd come back in the next season.

I'm gonna have to go with Joice Summers. That Buffy episode still makes me cry.
