I have a much more touchy-feely kind of question today. What are the ways in which your life is like a TV show? If you don't think your life is very TV-ish, do you do anything to make it more TV-ish? I've mentioned this before, but I often relate to female characters with relationship problems. Large swathes of my life resemble Dawson's Creek. You know the deal: girl is going out with boy, but likes bad boy, etc, etc. Heh heh. In subtler ways, I have been known to use characters' catchphrases as my own. I'm not proud of this. For example, I like to say, "You have much knowledge." But really, sometimes my life is so dramatic that I don't need to do anything to make it more so. On the other hand, sometimes my life is really boring too. I never seem to have a middle ground, which might be TV-like too.

I think we can all see how parts of our lives could be a TV show. What I would really like is to be able to solve all my problems in 1 hour or less, you know. Find what I was looking for, reconnect with my long lost mother, a quick parenting lesson or two. Maybe because of TV I've become too impatient, always wanting to know "what happens next".

| My relationship with my mother resembles Lorelei's and Emily's on Gilmore Girl. She constantly wants me to be someone I'm not and can't accept me as a human being in my own right as opposed to "her daughter who should ...". Sadly it's not half as funny in real life as it's on TV!

Right now my life is a cross between Roseanne and Still Standing and Grounded for Life----my kids are my world---I can't really think of a show that resembles my mom and my relationship

don't you konw that the art is coming from our daily life . most of the story in the TV serial are coming from our daily life. but maybe some of them are made up by the editor . our life is just similar like the play ,everyday will act as different character ,several years ago i act as a little girl but nowadays i act as an adult . ![]()
