| Which made-for-tv movies have you watched and have you liked? Personally, I'm not a huge fan of them, but and I think I might be stretching the definition of "made-for-TV" here, but I love me some BBC miniseries. Naturally, I loved the Pride & Prejudice 6-parter. I also loooooved the 2-part "White Teeth" miniseries, which was on Masterpiece Theater (I think?). It's based on Zadie Smith's debut novel of the same name, and it is fantastic. They changed up a whole bunch of the plot, but I totally approve of all the changes. It was in this production that I first discovered the beautiful and talented Naomie Harris, who was also in 28 Days Later. I just happened to be flipping through the channels when it was on, very serendipitously, otherwise, I might never have even heard of it.

| Mainly for just the efects and sometimes the glimmer of good acting I liked the made for tv disaster flicks that have been cropping up like Asteroid, 10.5, Category 6, Tidal Wave, etc. |

| Hmm, I generally loathe TV movies or miniseries events. I can admire the ambition of The Stand (with Gary Sinise and Rob Lowe!). And technically the start of BSG counts as a miniseres. But no, they all stink. They're just movies not good enough for theatrical release (or in the case of HBO, pretentious movies made only for the purpose of winning Emmys). |

| I really enjoyed the Triangle. Surprisingly really good. In fact, it's probably my favorite made for tv. I really enjoyed the Earthsea miniseries as well, though most of the book fans seemed ticked by it. I also really liked George and the Dragon, so much so that I wish I could find it somewhere to buy, despite the terrible graphics, I found it hilarious and great.

| Am I the only one who remembers Doing Time on Maple Drive? It was some FOX TV movie in the early '90s that was a big deal for having a dramatic turn from Jim Carrey. I didn't like it or anything, but I randomly felt like referencing it. Good TV movies...hmm. I agree with John, I did like some of the Stephen King ones back in the day. IT was pretty great since it had a killer clown played by Tim Curry. |

| This is so funny, I just saw his movie on Lifetime called, " Don't Tell" starring Fred savage and Candace Cameron. He played a woman beater and she was his girlfriend in high school. It was sooo cheesy, but really good. I can get in to the life time movies when they star childhood actors I loved. |

| Ohhh yeah... I just remembered that I loved loved loved Anne of Green Gables and Ann of Avonlea! (I grew up in Canada, and it's kind of a requirement to worship at the feet of L.M. Montgomery if you're a Canadian girl) They added a third Anne movie, which I absolutely did NOT like. It was about how Gilbert goes to Europe to fight in WWI, and Anne goes and looks for him. This SO does not happen in the books.

| Jared's S&M gal ![]() | Speaking of Lifetime movies....my friend and I were just talking about this movie called She Fought Alone. It was with Brian Austin Green and Tiffani Amber Thiessen (sp?) from 90210. Tiffani's character is trying to fit in with the "popular" kids and ends up getting raped by one of the guys and when she stands up for herself, they all turn on her. Brian's character ended up falling for her and eventually stopped harassing her and began helping her. It was pretty good. I even recorded it ![]()
