| This is Calena's weekend. Another of her great questions: What show you weren't too enthusiastic about from the start has you now hooked? This has to be Grey's Anatomy for me. I didn't watch the first season because it was a midseason replacement and I thought it was going to be like all the other medical shows. But then, somehow, I started watching and it was just great! Of course, over the years, I've become a bit less enthusiastic about it, but when I first discovered it, I couldn't get enough of it. |

| Lost. I thought it was pretty stupid - without even seeing any episodes. (I know, I hated myself back then, I always judged before I even saw anything) It is now my favorite show. I don't usually give shows a second chance. If I get bored of them and stop watching, there is almost no chance I'm gonna start again.

| Monk and House... From what I had heard about those shows I just couldn't bring myself to watch those shows. I just didn't think I would care. Until I found myself bored out of my wits someday and decided to watch "Monk"... I loved it! Well, I'm not hooked on it or anything; I don't stay home for it, but I was really surprised when I watched it. It was so much better than I had expected. The same counts for "House"... When I had just moved to my new appartment, I only had the TV to keep me busy at night, so I started to watch things I usually skipped... like "House"... And again: I loved it! And this one I would stay at home for. Or at least I'd make sure it's being taped somewhere, so I can watch it later... LOL! Oh, and I don't know whether this counts: I used to hate Harry Potter... Mainly because of the immense hype. I hate hypes and I always try to avoid them. One day someone convinced me to watch HP 2 (well, I wasn't given much choice), and I've been hooked ever since... ![]() XXX |

| I wasn't hooked on Supernatural for the first 5 episodes. I found it an ok-show, but nothing overwhelming. Then the overall storyarc and the brotherly dynamics developed and I was an addict! To that extent that I talked two people of this board into watching it, to the point of being a real pain in the a** about it.

| For me, I have to admit ... it has been Supernatural! I think I may have tried to get into it, when it first came out in 2005 ish.... then maybe, I watched half an ep of S2 .... a year or so later.... didn't really get the whole point of it.... until recently when I switched on wrong channel one night... and caught an early ep of S3.... the Storytale/Grimm one.... I suddenly saw the appeal.... I have to admit.... prior to this... I was quite unimpressed with the whole lot.... I thought it was another one of these Buffy/Charmed type shows... which I get bored very easily of too.... I then started a thread over in SPN asking for a sort of update to current eps thinking that I might just carry on with S3 and not have to go back.... And got very quickly talked into it... by the rest of the mad SPN fans on here.... I'm catching up pretty quick now.... Lene... Monk and House are good shows.... Harry Potter.... I tend to not pay too much attention to those movies when they come on screen... as my son tends to play them over and over again so I get something new each time they are on!!! Hell... Calena girl.... You're well forgiven!!!!

| I have to admit that I never really wanted to watch Supernatural back in its first season. Please no one hit me for this but there seemed to be waaay too much squeeing going on for my taste. But after seeing the pic of Jared in a towel again and again and again, I finally decided to give the show a try and thought that it was actually pretty good and much better than I expected from a show which main plot point are two pretty brothers shooting supernatural beings with salt. Another show would be Prison Break, for similar reasons. I certainly think that Wentworth Miller is an attractive man, I just didn't find him the hottest guy ever to walk the face of the earth so I was kinda wary to give it a try. But after watching one or two episodes back in the good old days of season 1, I was definitely hooked. Farscape would be yet another show. When I first heard of it a few years ago, I was like "A sci-fi show with muppets...naw, that can't be any good" But when I decided to give it a try after BSG showed me that just because a show belongs to the sci-fi genre it doesn't necessarily mean that the show is bad (yeah, I used to have silly prejudices) and since many BSG fans seemed to like Farscape too, I decided to give it a try and immediately loved it. Actually Farscape is one of my favorite shows now. |

| Mine is also Supernatural. I watched the first season when it originally aired, but lost interest in it after 7 or 8 episodes. Recently I finally went back and re-watched it all on DVD, and now I love it. I just think the first season took a while to get going, which is the case with some shows. |

| Hmm, a tough question. There are many shows I picked up later that I didn't watch not because I wasn't interested, but because I couldn't find the time (The Wire, BSG, SPN, Jericho, Veronica Mars, etc). But for this question, I'm with LovelyLene: there are actually some good procedurals out there. When they first came out, I hated shows like House and Medium with a passion. Now, they're required viewing every week. Same goes for The Closer and Bones, which is truly great and deserved that post-Super Bowl slot. For comedies: The New Adventures of Old Christine. I saw some first season episodes and didn't laugh once. Then I discovered it again, and it is now a show that makes me laugh consistently. No, seriously. I realize this list of shows make my TV tastes look suspect, but they're all totally worth watching. |

| I would have to choose House and The Office. For the longest time, I used to never really like watching House. Then one day, there was a marathon of episodes, I watched a few and then I was hooked. |
