| Okay, this question is a long-time coming. I believe it was Calena who suggested it. Who is your favorite vampire on TV, past or present, and why? Also, while you're at it, can someone explain to me the appeal of Moonlight? I really don't get that. My original favorite vampire was Spike from Buffy, until he had to fall in love with Buffy and then got that chip in his head. I loved him when he was eeeevil and punk rock. I also love me some Drusilla because she's just craaaazy.

| I'm not 100% sure either, but it does sound like one of my questions. @Moonlight: It may not be the greatest show, but I think it's an above average vampire show. It does focus more on romance than Buffy/Angel ever did, but that's ok for me. I even buy the stake doesn't kill and sunlight can be tolerated to a degree. The search for a cure is an intersting angle. Alex portrays the vampire angst (not wanting to live forever, because you have to see all your loved ones die; feeling guilty over needing blood; getting bored) beautifully. What I don't get is New Amsterdam , I have only watched 3 eps so far and then stopped. Is that guy even a vampire? I don't think so, with all that frolicking about in the sun. And yes, you can totally tell me that, if he was one I'd might continue watching it. Now to the question at hand: As evil, punk rock, britsh Spike certainly is a great addition to Buffy/Angel and my second favourite vampire, for me Angel takes the prize. Dark, tall, brooding, powerful and the Slayer's real love - no real competition there. And I certainly like Angelus even more than evil Spike. My fave Angel moments are when you are not really sure if it's indeed him or if it's Angelus. Great acting by DB, too.

| Jared's S&M gal ![]() | Hmm...even though it was just for one ep, I'd go with Gordon Walker. I think it's because he was so anti-vamp that it made it so much more cool to see him turn into the thing he hated the most. And even though its not TV, I still really love Louis and Lestat from IWAV. Those would be my favorites of all time.

| I'm with you on Spike, except I also loved chipped Spike, souled Spike, ghost Spike, tortured by love Spike, and all the other Spikes. Harmony was another awesome vampire. As for the appeal of Moonlight, I think people are just desperate for a vampire show and are clinging to whatever they can get. |

| Jared's S&M gal ![]() | Oh no prob. Gordon is (or actually was) a hunter on Supernatural, mainly known for killing vampires. He'd gotten into hunting because a vampire had attacked his sister when he was younger. He ended up tracking down that vamp and his sister (who had been turned into a vamp) and killed the both of them. He was pretty vicious as a hunter and had this intense hatred of vampires but this season a vampire caught him and turned him into a vamp. And as a vampire, Gordon was like a million times scarier.

| Oh, cool. Thanks for enlightening me. I haven't yet seen every episode of Supernatural (I like to get my TV DVDs from the public library so that I can get them for free, but durn it, they don't have Supernatural!!) so I'm saving up.

| Moderator ![]() | Spike from BTVS FTW!!! I loved him anyway they gave him to me except the 4th season was a little bit awkward IMO . I never 'got' the great appeal of Moonlight ,so can't give you an answer to that . I find the show flat and lacking in many areas.
