His name was Luther, the ep was "Dead Man's Blood" in S1. Luther was a very fine example for a member of the vampire species, I was really impressed by him, too.

Although.... I will hazard a pure guess here.... I feel that this character is not strictly speaking a vampire... but he was a dracula of sorts.... and as it was a family/childrens show... I don't think he went around sucking too much blood and biting too many necks........

Count from Sesame Street.... He was just so cool!!!! The way he counted ...
1 ...HAHAHA 2... HAHAHA 3... HAHAHA and so one really used to get me every time!!!! I really used to love that part in every show!!!!

PS... FTR.... I never ever got the point of the movie Interview With The Vampire..... Does anyone have any idea at all what that was actually about????? LOL!!! I really think they were the worst bunch of vampires I have ever seen on a tv screen.... It didn't really work with any of them on that movie, IMO!!! Anyone think any different???

OMG, yes of course, the Count!! How could I forget!

I personally didn't like Interview with a Vampire, though. I thought it was way over the top and melodramatic.

Ohhhh, has anyone ever seen Day Watch or Night Watch? It's a trilogy (the third one is called Dusk Watch - haven't seen that one yet) from Russia, and it is FANTASTIC. It's soooo stylish. I think that it would work so much more as a TV show rather than movies because there is sooooo much material there that they need hours and hours to really explore everything. The vampires are really cool.

Back in the day I was totally crushing on Vachon from Forever Knight.

However Angel is still #1 in my book.

Debbie: Reasons to like moonlight

1. Getting to stare at Alex for 1 hour a week.
2. Somewhat corny scripting usually makes for a good show.
3. Getting to stare at Alex for 1 hour a week.
4. We all love a "he's supposed to be bad
but wants to be good story line."
5. Getting to stare at Alex for 1 hour a week.

ok maybe I am getting a little repetitive here but some things just count more than others

Wow Debbie, I love Night Watch and Day Watch! That actually would make for a great TV series now that I think about it. I hope they make the third movie soon, because the first two are awesome.

Cool, Don! Glad someone has seen them. I loved the part in the Night Watch (I think it was Night watch. It was the first one that came out, anyway) where they make a Buffy reference. The little boy is at home watching the episode of Buffy where she meets Dracula. Funny!

There's just so much going on in those movies that it would be perfect for television. As they stand now, there are tons of storylines that don't really go anywhere because there just isnt' time to. Everyone should go out and watch them!

Before Angel and Forever Knight there was Nick Knight played by very well who always wanted to redeem himself from his past. I never saw the pilot but heard from some friends the character was played by Rick Springfield. I also liked Angel a bit. On current tv its a toss up between Nick from Moonlight and Henry from the show Blood Ties. In movies I liked Goerge Hamiltons take on Dracula in the comedy Love At First Bite. Finally for the sake of being different I am going to go in a direction no one has gone yet and say one of my fave female vamps was Harmony from Buffy & Angel.

I have see Night Watch, but it has been years and I can't remember it very well. It was a Russian film and it was based on a book, wasn't it? I missed the second when it was in the cinema, but I have all 3 books lying around here somewhere - haven't read them yet, though. If you all liked it so much I think I have to get the DVDs.
The one scene I remember is when the bad guy drew a huge sword out of his spine, that was impressive.
