Looking back on 2007, what do you think was the most underrated show and why? What was the most overrated show too?

Most overrated show was probably any CSI. Pick your favorite. Shows with that many spin off are just too big for their own good.

Most Underated of 2007? Hmmm....Jericho. Its got a loyal fanbase, but most people haven't even tuned in to watch it and it really is a fantastic show. Supernatural. Its on a pisspoor network who is more worried about sex appeal than actual quality programing. What they don't understand is that the show has *plenty* of sex appeal, just not for guys. Anyway, its probably the best show the CW has and its not promoted nor watched as often as it should be.

Overrated... definitely Heroes. Even though it's one of my favorites, I don't think it's as good as people are claiming... and they even went a world tour, etc... IMO it's way overrated.

Underrated... Hmm... Well I think Kyle XY might have been a bit underrated. I really love that show. LOL

Lost too I think is overrated. I think its a good show, but its defiantely not the best show out there. Maybe season 1, but not two or three.

yeah Lost and csi are def overrated

I agree, taking into account all 3 seasons Lost is only the second best show after PB and one place above SPN.

I really think that Heroes is overrated.

I watched 6 eps of Californication last night and I love it. But I haven't read about it so I don't know if it's underrated or gets its due respect from people.

Have you seen Season 3?

Season 3 is by far the best season, IMO. The finale was one of the best episodes on Television. Ever.

Desperate Housewives is a bit underrated, I think.

For overrated I'd say Lost (but that's my very personal opinion as someone who found the first season of Lost awesome but stopped watching at the beginning of season 3).

For underrated I'd say The Wire (although no new episodes were actually shown in 2007). This might very well be the best show ever on TV and I know it's getting at least some attention by the critics and seems to have some very loyal viewers but still not nearly as much as it deserves.

It's funny that all the people who say Lost is overrated haven't seen the full S3. You don't know what you're missing. lol

By that same logic I could say that anyone who states a TV show in this thread must have seen all aired episodes (or say at least 80 %) of said show
Sorry if this sounded a bit aggressive, it certainly isn't meant that way. I know that there are a lot of Lost fans out there and that it still gets a lot of critical acclaim and I would never dare to disrespect that. I should only have named an underrated show and left it at that because I only mentioned Lost as I am one of those bitter disappointed fans who didn't like the turn Lost took in the 2nd and the parts of the 3rd season I've seen.

But seriously, more people need to watch The Wire.
