Default 12/13/07 Office pranks

Today's question is in honor of The Office. Has anyone pulled a prank at work or at school, like Jim and Pam do? What did you do?

I so wish! We've talked about decorating our friend's desk in Red Sox stuff since she is a yankee fan, but mostly, the worst we've done is adjust the chair settings on someone elses chair so that when they sat in it, it was too high or too low or the back was sitting too far forward and the arm parts were mismatched.

I wish I had a partner in crime I could do pranks with like Jim and Pam.

We have University of Texas / Texas A&M wars. The UT fans have decorated my bosses office (she's an A&M grad) in burnt orange longhorns and even put an 'I <3 Longhorns' on the back of her maroon truck. I messed with this kid in my friends class by filling her desk with confetti once and I once covered the front with cellophane and she couldn't get her stuff out. We've reversed desk drawers and driven people crazy, too. They got me once by putting army stuff in my office (I'm a navy family and this is an army town), but I had the last laugh when Navy beat army that weekend in the big game.

I wish I could be as brave, sneaky and creative as Jim and Pam (which on a sidenote, I used to love, but now that they're together, I don't know if I love them that much. they're kinda boring now). The most I've ever done is steal people's belongings and modify them - like steal their cell phones and change their wallpaper and language, or steal their wallets and stuff them with sugar packets. stupid stuff like that.

Prank wise... in School, me and my mates in our year, some years ago pulled off a whopper that involved the whole school of about 385 kids!!!!

The year was 1989.... we were about to head back after lunch to a double class of history and english with the most boring teacher on the planet.... when we decided to spread the word around the school that... we were all to meet down at the end of the football field, on school grounds instead of going back to classes!!! To our surprise, practically the whole school met us all down there... not knowing what exactly to do next, we sat down to sun ourselves!!!
Very soon after our school Head and most of teachers found out where we all were as no one were back in their classes....
And as he thundered down the field towards us.... We all stood up and started singing... Amhran Na bhFiann, which is our Irish National Anthem.... I swear, I have not ever laughed so much as he stopped each time, we pumped out the words... Hand straight across his chest/heart!!! LOL!!! We did that three times before he reached the end of the field, as each time he stopped to stand to attention on hearing it! As he finally reached the end, we scattered and as we were the nearest classroom, were first back and not in trouble!!! God.... I miss those days!!! LOL!!!

We also did really stupid things to this teacher like ... throw our just made 'Home Ec, Rice/sago pudding disasters up onto ceiling over his desk and pleaded total innocence as it dripped on his head in stages all thru out the class!!! LOL!!! I really miss those days!!! You all could learn a trick or two from Smiley.. about the inner workings of a classroom!!!! LOL!!!

My 2nd son, bless his heart, got suspended for his senior prank. They turned one of the main hallways of the high school into a large slip and slide. The group of them came in their swimsuits, they oiled up the hallway floors, then wet them down ... no I didn't think it was funny then .....
