11/17/07 Main characters

Which show would you refuse to watch if the main character or characters were eliminated? Why?

I think I would stop watching Heroes if they got rid of HRG. He doesn't have a demonstrated ability (except, you know, being kickass) and he's delightfully morally ambiguous. He makes the show.

I have to say none, because I would be to curious to see how the story went even if they did kill off the main character. (for good. Buffy got killed and came back, for example).
But I would be majorly pissed off if Michael or Linc of Prison Break should die. Michael because I love him, Linc because his death would make the whole show pointless.
And I would mourn for Sawyer (Lost). I'm actually very worried about him getting killed just because they writers want to prove they dare to.
I also want to tell the writers of SPN they better figure out how to get Dean out of his deal with the demon!

mmm well im not sure id stop watching, but it would never be the same if they properly kill of Sam and Dean on supernatural....I mean what happened at end of s2 was awesome but when your show fouces on 2 characters you cant really afford to loose one

i'll stop watching prison break if they kill Linc cuz i loooove him

it'll be also very stupied if they kill Mike cuz i think the relationship between the brothers is the most important

if they would kill mike from PB i would probably stop watching it...

and i agree with bori, their relationship is what constitutes (is that the right word??) Prison Break so if anyone of them dies the show would be uncompleted, senseless and probably kinda boring

I would tottaly stop watching if they kill Mike oe linc on PB Mike cos I loooove him and without scofield Pb will never be the same and like Calena said linc because his death would make the whole show pointless.
and I would stop watching Bones if they kill Booth or brennan or even angela!

I don't know. Most of the dramas I watch are ensembles, so one character changing wouldn't be too mind bending. If Bailey left Grey's, though, it would certainly dampen my enthusiasm for the show and of course if Shark left Shark or other character named shows that revolve around that character (although some would probably be better).

I, too, watch a lot of ensemble shows so the elimination of one character wouldn't probably matter to me that much. Although this is dependiong a bit on the show: If they killed one of the main characters from BSG or The Wire I wouldn't care as much as if they killed Mike or Linc on PB (which I just count as an ensemble drama for now, although it's mostly centered around Mike and Linc). And I think something like Dexter dying on Dexter except maybe for the series finale is just not an option lol.

well if they killed linc maybe i would stop
but if they have flash backs of him ill still watch

yead & same as sam & dean if one of them died they would have to give me lots of flash backs to keep me watching
i want some john flash backs *sniffles*
