Default 11/14/07 Supporting Actors

Today, we're going to go back to discussing scripted shows. Who is your favorite supporting actor on any show, past or present and why?

I think Busy Phillips was awesome on Freaks and Geeks because she really brought a realistic portrayal to her role. Speaking of Judd Apatow, I also thought Jason Segal was excellent in Undeclared because, you know, he's so funny and ad-libbed a lot of really good things, even though he was only in a few episodes.

Looking waaay back, I also loved Marilyn on Northern Exposure. She barely said a word, but boy, she did it well.

I loved Marshall on Alias because he was just totally made of awesome.

Wallace on Veronica Mars was ace as well. I really do wish I had him as my best friend.

Oh my. This is extremely difficult to answer.
I don't really know who would fall under the category of supporting actor.
For example, LOST has a huge cast, and no one is really the main character. So like who would we consider supporting actors? Maybe like Tom and Richard, Ethan... people like that?
Same with Heroes. Would Elle be taken as a supporting actor?

I agree with Mei, Wallace was an awesome character!

A supporting character is any character who is not the main character. Yeah, it is kind of hard to tell with a huge cast like Lost or Heroes.

Good call on Wallace, though! Love him! You know who else is really good? I like the two sidekicks on Reaper. Sock, particularly, was awesome in last night's episode. I liked when he woke up from his sex dream about Gladys.

Certainly T-Bag (Rob Knepper) on Prison Break. He adds so much to the show!

I demand Whistler back! You did it with Sara, you can do it with Whistler, too!

Well, my FAVORITE is Ben on Lost. Michael Emerson is a genius. I also love Jin!

I'd also have to say...
- George on Grey's Anatomy
- T-Bag on Prison Break

Gunther from Friends was a pretty cool character as well.

This is a really hard question, haha. I'm probably gonna reply to this thread like a million times. :P

I also liked Paris Geller from Gilmore Girls. She was really awesome.

If you watch Sarah Silverman Program, you gotta say somethin for Brian and Steve, the gay neighbors.

But best I would have to say Andy from Weeds. Some of the best one liners you'll hear.

Oh boy... That's a tough one, Debbie!

As I''m a major House fan, I just have to mention Robert Sean Leonard as Wilson cause his character's the reason we can see House talk about things which are not work related and show his private side. And he's really good at what he does, too.
I also liked Kirk on Gilmore Girls a lot, he was so funny and had ridiculous ideas at times...
Other than those I can't really think of anyone right now.
