Today's question of the day is about Supernatural. I know there are a lot of you fans out there, so let's get a heated discussion going. Now that you've seen both new female characters in action, what do you think of them? Do they work? Do you hate them?

Well Ruby I straight out like. The fact that she is a demon laid any fears I really had about her to rest. The biggest probably I always had with the concept of Ruby was that she was like 20 and was presented to be a better hunter than Sam and Dean. The fact that she's a demon means that there is a reason she's better or has the potential to be better, which makes her character seem less contrived.

I do sense there is something of a hidden agenda, a reason why a she, a demon, is a hunter and interested in Sam. We all know its not because he's tall, although I'm sure its a big selling point! LOL. Whatever her connection to Sam and whatever it is she wants from him, I don't think its going to benefit him in any way, shape or form. She's trouble and I like that.

Bela I'm a little more iffy about. We've only seen one episode and for one her accent isn't very good. For two I think the whole 'stealing what important for Sam and Dean to do their job' gig could get pretty old pretty quick. She seems pretty slick, and I like that. And I like that they didn't make her WAY better than Sam and Dean. Dean was able to outsmart her even if she returned the favor later. She has the potential to be a really annoying character, but if they find a way to introducer her into storylines where its not ALWAYS her stealing form them, it will really flesh out her character a bit. Maybe give her some ties to the Winchesters or even Bobby or something. Don't really know what kind of ties, but something that will make her presence in the show varied and her motives hard to read. I could maybe see myself liking her but there has to be more to her than just being a selfish theif.

I like Ruby. She has a reason to be there IMO. She's a demon which i also like. It's about time we had a new female baddie on the show. I was a fan of Meg, she was always causing trouble for the boys and i think Ruby will have that same effect. She has a hidden agenda i am sure and it will be fun to try and figure her out.

Bela I am not to sure about.With only one episode to tell I could do with or without her. She is just in it for the money and has no real staple to the story other than just stealing the things the boys need to do their jobs. As Mei said, that will get old quickly. Time will tell for me I guess. I hope they flesh her out more and make her interesting. She obviously has a back story for Bobby to know of her and I hope we get to see that.

Yeah that would be cool to see her backstory I think. How she got to where she is and why she is the way that she is.

I also think Ruby is awesome!
The whole demon reveal was just perfect!
plus its always fun to have a character whose questionable in terms of their agenda. and yes the way she has been written makes her fit, and not seem like she was forced in the stpry

Im not sure about Bela yet....i def agree with what you girls have already said, we need to see moe sides to her, and I also was annoyed by her fake accent! lol
we will see how it goes in terms of her....if we can see her backstory i may like her more..or less...depending on how they do it...lol
it is interesting that bobby knows of her...but yes its to early to tell if i will like her

Robyn I read somewhere that is her actual accent. The character wasn't supposed to have an accent but apparently when they heard her speak they liked hers so much they let her keep it in the show.

Really? Her accent is real? It sounds so fake. I read a bio on her. She was born in the states and lived here as a child and then moved to the UK. Doesn't say how old she was when she moved.
