Pushing Daisies is going to take an interesting ratings road. Last night, it lost about twenty percent of its total viewers from last week. This dropped Daisies to number two overall on the night, though it did still come out on top in the 18-49 demo. This drop-off from its premiere was totally expected, so don't fret, fans of Pushing Daisies. The ABC hype machine was strong going into the premiere for Pushing Daisies, and a large audience gave the series a chance. It's a polarizing series, its weirdness a turn-off for some viewers, and it was inevitable that some viewers would give the pilot a chance and then decide that it just wasn't for them. Last night's ratings should be indicative of what kind of numbers the show will receive for the rest of the season, which means it's still a success. I can't imagine anyone like the first episode but not liking the second.click here to read the rest of the article: http://www.buddytv.com/articles/pushing-daisies/wednesday-night-ratings-analys-12343.aspx

Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money are now solidly my two favorite shows of the new season. Both of them are fresh and well done. These are the sort of shows that get out loud reactions from everyone as we watch. TiVo is our friend, because with both shows we found ourselves rewinding to hear a favorite line repeated or to clarify we really saw what we thought we saw. These shows are brilliant in knowing the audience and climate they are producing for and are creating shows that stand up to the repeated viewings today's viewer is likely to put them through. Both are filled with little tid bits to notice and discover the more you watch them.

Surely is loads of little tidbits in Pushing Daisies -- it has perhaps the best art direction I've seen on television in a long while -- but I'm not sure I see that in Dirty Sexy Money.

Flipping through the channels Wednesday night I thought I would check out Daisies. I like Chi McBride. Initially I thought the dialogue was fresh and smart until the dead girl started asking questions about the person who died (on her behalf). Very excited, she asked Ned and Emerson "how did he die. was there a noose around his neck"? It wasn't funny then and it's not funny now. I won't be watching anymore.
