| I don't know if something like this has been done before on here, but I've seen similar things done in magazines and thought it could be fun. Choose a movie/show with a character (hero/villain/creature/whatever) who you like and think would be good in a fight. The fighting could be serious, like Spider-Man versus Venom (you could probably have people from the same movie if you wanted) or something goofy, like Ron Burgundy versus Napoleon Dynamite. All you have to do is post your individual and all their techniques/characteristics and then have someone else challenge you with their character (who also posted techniques/characteristics). Kind of like role playing, but more of a civilized discussion why one would beat the other in a fight. Try not write it as a story but (example) "King Kong's arms are probably stronger than Godzilla's" or "Milton Waddams has his red stapler." You can accept or deny a challenge. Be creative but also be able to back up the character with canon facts. You can do people who have already been versed before, but aim for some original stuff as well. I realize there will probably be multiple fights going on and this may start to get confusing, but this is my first time posting a game and I hope it'll turn out alright. We can probably change some things along the way to make the game better. Oh, and here are some things you may consider: Name, gender, build, age, height, weight, species, accessories, weapons, fears, loves, strengths, weaknesses, usual behavior, effects of environment, etc. Aim for minimal typos, be consistent, and no real arguing! Good luck! |

---------------------------- Okay, I've found an example. Here's the link but if you do not have an imdb account, I'll post some paragraphs. Register at IMDb.com -- Would Predator ever really beat Alien? by pacers31 (Wed Apr 4 2007 16:42:08 ) Predator is impressive, quick with the reactions, technologically advanced, some very kick ass weapons, solid armor. but lets get real here. Alien is superior in strength, speed and much more bad ass. During the movie - one that I thought was an average action film for anyone that says otherwise - anytime Predator has his range or weaponry taken away from him you see Alien pushing Predator around. The only time I remember Predator actually killing an Alien is by surprise or stealth. Any close hand to hand combat Alien easily won... anyways, why does Predator need to have the humans help in the end. Any takes? Re: Would Predator ever really beat Alien? by gertflump (Thu Apr 5 2007 00:13:40 ) This human and tiger analogy is terrible and it always gets brought up. I never recall seeing a human able to fling a tiger across a room with one leg while on the floor or swing it around skimming a couple pillars. If a tiger jumped on an off-balance human, I dont see the human using two hands and throwing the tiger completely horizontally off its feet across a room into a pillar. Everything I just stated happened in AvP. Thus this stupid analogy should really die. I never noticed a human being able to take 5-8 shotgun blasts to the chest at point blank and continue on to smash down a couple of walls and steel doors with one arm. Never noticed a human being smash through two layers of steel traincar roof or not be affected by a lightning strike or have grenades go off point blank in front of it and only have that piss them off, and I definitely never noticed humans surviving a giant log being dropped strait on their head and having their skull remain intact and still be alive long enough for some dialogue and a suicide. Predators are 8-9 ft monster hunters from space. They are beyond humans in many ways and I have no idea where someone got the idea that aliens are stronger than preds. Faster? Yes. Stronger? No. | |
