Default English around the world - comparasons

Well, another thread made me think of this. I thought it might be interesting to compare sayings or words from around the world. Also it might be good for a laugh.

Which one do you use?

1. Hire or rent a dvd/video.

2. The line is busy / the phone is engaged.

3. A body shop / panelbeater (for cars)

4. Stand in a line / stand in a queue

5. I got scared / I got a fright

Anyone got any others to add?

3. A body shop / panelbeater (for cars) I use none of those

4. Stand in a line

5. I got scared / I got a fright, but a fright seems really logical too.

In Holland we learn sort of Dictionary english and not really 'street talk' so we know quit(??) a lot of words, but not a lot of different sort of sentences.

The one that stands out is the:

I need a cigarette/I need a fag

Fag is a derogatory word for a homosexual here in the US but in the UK it means a cigarette. I am still not use to hearing someone say "fag" without thinking they are being inconsiderate to those who are gay.
