| Does anybody know who is on The FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List? If any one of those men were in the same restaurant as you, would you know he is a wanted man? I personally recognize exactly one. Well, two, but the one is captured. I recognize Bin Laden and Parsons. I do have a point to this post, and I will divulge it once this thread is discussed a bit more. |

| Senior Member | Wow, that James Bulger guy seems like a real bad ass. He sure puts John Abruzzi to shame. Anyway, not being a yank I don't have to know those guys, but obviously I'd recognize Bin Laden. Are there actual posters with those guys' faces in public places in the US like in PB or that's just something from the series? ![]() |

| Okay so I knew Bin Laden, and I'd heard of Parsons but wouldn't have recognised him. Wow, that James Bulger has the same name as that poor toddler who was battered to death by those 10 year olds. Poor kid. But I'm guessing that when the Fox River 8 broke out of Fox River they were on practically every single channel and every single newspaper. In the US, does that happen with the top 10 most wanted? |

| I have seen the posters, and know they do get featured on tv and stuff. But here's my point: People are so involved in their own lives, their own interests, and have so much media thrown at them daily that it's actually quite scary that we don't know the faces, names, or crimes of these people. Do you even know who is on the list of your individual state? The FBI didn't choose names out of a hat at random to feature on the top 10 list, and the reasons these guys are on this list isn't because they opened an animal shelter. Yes, these guys do make headlines when they commit their crimes, and they do get their stories on the news for a couple of weeks after. But it eventually tapers off, and these men get on the FBI's most wanted list with little to no media attention of any kind until their capture. Isn't it sad that they aren't news-worthy any more after a mere few days? And that you probably won't see their faces again until they are captured or if you happen on one of those posters? Here's how it ties into PB: Our guys are on the run, and have been for a week. They were a hot commodity at first, and people did recognize them. But the chances of them being featured often on the news, in newspapers, in other media, often, is getting slimmer by the day. Until and unless they get captured, their faces will be little more than on the top ten FBI list. Pretty soon, their faces may tease somebody's memory, but they may not know who they are until it's far too late. Even more likely they can blend into society again. (for those fans out there that will point this out, yes, I know it's only tv, a fictional show, but the reason this board is here is to discuss the many facets of this show. get over it.) |

| Dom I agree with you. It's a shame we know every little detail of people like Dom and Went yet we know nothing about these real life criminials. But I do have to say I do read the paper and I do watch the news and I never see stuff on any of those guys, except for Bin Laden of course. Maybe I'm not catching the news at the right time, or reading the right pages in the paper but I never hear anything on major convicts like this. I think its got a lot to do with what the media allows us to see though.

| i don't see them on the news either..even Osama has become pretty occasional news. You wanna know whats important?..bloody Britney and K-fed's divorce. i mean seriously, it was/is everywhere..who the hell freaking cares. thats what E! is for not CNN for crying out loud. So yeah i wonder how long we'll be seeing the guys on the "news" in PB.
