Well, I was surprised not to see any thread on this guy! Ok there are a few spoilers in this, watch out! Mahone is definitely my favourite character of the whole show. At least he is one of the most intriguing one. I still can't see him as a totally evil character. For me, Mahone is more a victim then a predator. Victim of his madness, his guilt, his intelligence, and maybe even victim of the company. I heard many people say that Mahone was a cruel, sadistic character, and I just can't agree with that. Mahone is not a cruel person. In the last episode, 207, you just can see terrible he feels about what he just did, he's not comfortable at all with killing (unlike characters like Kellerman or Tbag, who just walk away without caring...) and I think he really hates what he is doing and what he is becoming. I mean, he's not the "mwhahaha I killed you!" type of villain. I don't say he's a nice guy, but I think he might deserve some form of redemption. Mahone is a fascinating character. He is really well-written, and up to now, he has not disappointed me. I just hope the characters won't turn him into a villain without any subtlety. Every character in prison break, even the worst ones, have had an episode where you could see their human side. And I hope we get to see that side of Mahone soon enough. Any other Mahone lovers around? I would love to hear you guys' theories!

| Shan's slave girl! ![]() | As I once said already, all prison brake characters are interesting, so I have to agree with you. There is a shroud of mystery surrounding Mahone, and that makes him mega interesting. What I would like to see is him helping the boys maybe out of some guilt for killing Tweener |

frankly, I think that could happen! the more Mahone is involved in this case, the more he becomes mad. And if you try to figure out why, the only thing that I can think of is guilt. He mentionned the "confession" stuff so many times, and that is for me the proof that he feels terribly guilty for what he is doing. I don't think he was blackmailed by the company in the beginning though. I think he was a little later, maybe after Otis, that's when he starts loosing his mind. There is a very interesting theory here: http://serafina20.livejournal.com/730841.html#cutid1 and it really sums up (in better english than mine) what I think. I especially agree with the part about Mahone and Abruzzi's death.

I find Mahone an extremely interesting and complex character. Personally, I'm not really interested in Kellerman because he seems boring, but Mahone is something else. He has some many things going around in his head, I think that he can honestly plead temporary insanity. In fact, I bet every time he kills someone he went momentarily insane. I'm interested to see later interactions between Mahone and Mikey.

I totally agree. When he kills, he doesn't do it intentionally. It's his pulsions that are doing it, not his mind. I don't see him as a cold-blooded killer. He kills because he just can't control himself, and when he realises what he did, it's too late. And then he feels terribly guilty, which leads to even more madness... Poor guy needs a hug... I'm willing to give it to him! I just hope they won't waste his character. He has a lot of potential, especially if they make him walk the path of redemption in the end! he reminds me a lot of Snape in Harry Potter... if you guys see what I mean... I don't want to spoil if people haven't read the books.

good to hear that! I'm so sad to see how he is underappreciated. I mean, the writers did such an incredible job with this character! He is so complex, fascinating... You can make up so many theories about this guy! Gaaah I love him... I really do hope to see a Michael-Mahone confrontation that won't be just guns firing. I think both characters could be really fascinated by each other, and even if they are enemies, admire each other.
