Default Speculation

This is just pure speculation on my part, but judging by Mahone putting the pill (whatever it was) in a pen I think it was the writers way to hint that Mahone has something similar to Michael, that when looking at things like the lamp for example, they break it down and they see the insides and stuff or whatever (can't remember the name). Anyways, adding that on, I think that Mahone is going to eventually go through all of whats happened and find out that Lincoln/LJ are innocent.

Lincoln isn't really innocent now.. of the original crime he is, but after breaking out, he isn't anymore... he'll still go to jail if caught, just not on the chair this time...

Dr. Tancredi went to a doctor whom says michael is a genius to learn much more about michael!Do you remember that? it was episode 9-10 i don't know exactly! maybe Mahone is genius and he also was going to the same doctor. and michael remembers him from there! i watched the episode 2. Mahone looked at a small pool long. maybe the writers tell us something!

I never said they knew eachother before hand, I just think Mahone is diagnosed with the same thing, and that eventually Mahone will put the pieces together and uncover the conspiracy.

Yeah i get the feeling that Mahone has whatever Michael has also b/c in the first few eps of PB they had Michael doing what Mahone is doing now ..the checking things out for a long time...I also think Haywire has some form of it b/c he could see what was in the tatt and didn't that doc Sara went to see about Michael say that it would drive most people mad but b/c of Michaels high IQ it didn't do that to him or something like that anyway ..and we all know Haywire is a madhatter...so i think maybe Haywire is the flip side of the coin

To me what it seems like is that Mahone has admiration for Michael because he pulled off such an elaborate plan. I like that scene in the elevator when Mahone looks into the elevator shaft and the look he gave Michael like "Here is the infamous master planner of the escape" or like he couldnt wait to meet the person who planned everything. I love the way the writers and the actors themselves are putting that tension between Mahone and Michael it just emphasizes that they are of like minds but on different sides of the spectrum.

Perhaps Mahone discovering that Lincoln/LJ are innocent would make sense towards the end of the season. It sounds like a good plotline and would certainly make things interesting.

the scene where they saw each other in the lift left me with the feeling that they are alike, each as clever as the other.
