I'm here, but it's hot again and moving is exhausting. I'm waiting for the evening to come, so I can watch the Portugese kicking the Germans out of the tournament (have to go with doggie first, though).

Wahoo! I am not the only one in here. It's been so slow and boring for the past few days.....Damn, I sure miss the days when this place was flooded with users...I even, sort of, miss the one-liners....

I don't miss the one liners, they never responded anyway, what a waste of our great sarcastic comments!
But I do miss the days smiley and helps and you seemed to be online 24/7. However I think it will be back to the old glory days in fall, once PB and SPN start again - we will have so much to discuss - and it won't be as hot, so I'll have more energy. That said I will have more time and energy to be here in summer when I have holidays, despite my mother having a whole plan what has to be done in the sommer, like re-painting our wooden windows or cleaning out the garage, which I think is unnecessary as we did that last summer already.

Yea, I miss those days, too. There were times where we really went at it full-force.
Did you hear about that auction they are having, where you can bid on a trip to the PB set? I think there are only two bidders and the price, I believe, is at $650. I wonder what kind of tour they would give...if it will be just a general view of the set or if you can check out some of the other stuff.

If you repainted last year, why would she think you would need to do it again? Is she wanting to change the color or just do touch-ups?

We cleaned out the garage last year, painting has been a few years, so as little as I want to do it, I see sense in it.

How are ye today girls
I was off getting check up at physiotherapist today.... Got clean bill of health... Back in great shape... have to do a few exercises each day to strengthen muscles in hips and thighs... They reckoned that years of abuse due to sports like things have weakened them... as I have slowed down lately... Anyway, doing well...

Came back to house at one-ish.... to a few millimetres of water on floor in my kitchen... water was turned off in area by water company this morning and dopey AJ decided to leave tap on full blast.... with the damn stopper in the sink.... Well on bright side, my kitchen got a really great clean....
Ironically, I also had to call a plumber out in work this afternoon to fix some low water pressure problem in the kids bathrooms.... and he also ended up flooding the place.... He decided to unscrew everything beyond repair BEFORE actually turning the water off to do the job.... So once again I had to get down on my knees to mop water up off the floor... That's my exercise all done for at least a week now...
Anyway.... I had to hunt about the caretakers office for the boiler room keys to turn the water off ... I swear sometimes... I just wish some men in this world had at least half a brain... they don't need a big full one ... just half a one... the half that works.... The keys were the only one of the 156 different bunches of keys with no sodden tag on them... [Yes... indeed the place has that many...]

BTW, This plumber called me in after he got both the buildings caretaker AND it's cleaner in to assess situation first... and I walk in and they are just standing around talking about how wet the floor is....

Seriously... then all three of them turned to me and said.... 'What do we do now?'
I jokingly said.... 'Wait til I put my all knowing plumber hat on...' .... well that went down like a lead balloon...

Anyway... all done easy enough... and they patronisingly turned to me and said 'Well Done'... in an almost... Wow, how did you even think of that tone....

As I said.... Men and brains... oh for even half a one....

The bids are probably low because not many have made bids. The last time I checked out the site, there had only been 2 bids. I figured more people would hae bid, but apparently I wad wrong. I had thought about making a bid, but I don't have anyone to go to the set with...and that's no fun.
