I think Bellick was great in the first Season you know being the guard, in season 2 he was ok but in season 3 very useless. Walking aroud with that dirty shirt and that belly. If you said that Sara story was over then i don't get your point that Bellick add something to the show.

bellick is like a disposable character in the show, and someone to do the mundane tasks XD

Talking of dirty bathrooms..... Do you not think ... that by now.... the likelihood of Sara actually returning to PB even in one piece.... is about as likely as the Sona guards just popping in to Sona to replace a new roll of hand towels in each cubicle of those smelly digusting bathrooms........ Just a thought!!!

LOL!!!..... You can all go back to hating me now!!!! LOL!!!!

I think you bring up an interesting point about Bellick....but I think that having both him and T-Bag in Sona makes for some really interesting possibilities going forward.

On a basic level, they are completely opposite characters. Bellick puts up a machismo front to others, but at his core he is really weak and cowardly (and a liar). You saw this especially right before he had to fight Sammy. T-Bag would sort of sidle up to you and jam a knife in your side without much warning if he had to. He always seems calm and schemes - but he can pretty much do anything he has to in order to keep going. T-Bag is an anti-coward, which is really what makes him so dangerous.

Bellick might have had some "shady" situations in the first two seasons, but when you think about it he really doesn't belong in jail for life. He may have been a crooked CO, and he might have cut T-Bag's "sewed on" hand, but he doesn't by any means deserve this kind of life. Here is a character in the show who actually was framed (by T-Bag) AND wrongly arrested without trial in Panama (by T-Bag's work), but because most people don't like him, there isn't much sympathy for him. I think it's a sad sociological point that everyone hates Bellick, but many people love T-Bag.

His motivation in finding the money was impure, but you have to consider that he lost his pension and his career from the escape. Even when you are living with your mother, that burns financially.

I also think it's really interesting that Bellick hasn't taken any measure of revenge on T-Bag yet in Season 3, given what T-Bag did to him in Season 2.
