Michael being Anakind doesn't work, because Anakin didn't blame Palpatine for Padme's death. Michael sure blames the Company. (he blames himself, too, of course, but first the Company).

I was simply speaking to the Company's motive, not Michael's. They may be trying to seduce him to the "dark side." Killing Sammy seems to be a good start. I wonder if the guy who convinced Sammy to do a power grab had Company attachments as well? Who knows?

Well, I'm just throwing ideas out there.....maybe those men weren't as important....maybe easily disposable pawns
