| I have been a huge fan of the show since day one. I have bought every season available and have watched them over again in the off season. Tonight I fell apart in front of the tube. Such an amazing and epic series ruined by a horrible ending. Myself and 5 other friends got together to it and sorry to say we were all in shock. How could it end with Micheal dying? How could they have such a sad and terrible ending? After everything they went through to save his brother and he dies????? I and the others are quite upset that this is the ending they chose. I mean, they could have stopped it right after everyone was cleared and allowed to go on with their lives. They did an amazing with everything else by tying up loose ends but this was just ridiculous and in my opinion ruined the series. I am in utter shock and so down with this ending I wish I could express myself to the people of this show and express how disappointed I am. Even though I am quite upset with the ending thanks so much for such an amazing series. Too bad you guys chose to take this route for the finale Last edited by omgwtfnhgg : 05-16-2009 at 08:32 PM. | Senior Member | Hmm... yeah. It's hard to distance oneself from the main character as not to care that he's dead. It's a bittersweet feeling at the end, with everyone free and happy, but Michael gone. As if it wasn't a bummer enough in itself the fact that the show ended. |

| I'm more upset that there will be no more Prison Break. In all honesty, if we were going to view things from an objective and realistic point of view, Michael surviving doesn't guarantee that he and Sara would have a long, happy marriage...for all of their remaining years on earth. People forget they really didn't know each other very well. They never had the opportunity to sit down and really interact with each other without some mayhem all around them. And if we look at their interactions this season especially, there was not always reciprocation of affection. There were times when Micheal was rather cold and distant. Sara would try to be affectionate with him, but he would pull away. There would be moments when it looked like they were about to kiss, but he wouldn't give Sara the chance to kiss him. Sometimes he wouldn't even return an "I love you."

| I'm soo sad about Michael's death. Still that final scene has something weird... Everyone looks just too happy... 4 years is not enough to get over something that dramatic... Specially for Sara losing the father of her child with whom she made so many plans (LOVED the beach scene...until Michael started nosebleeding) I really really hope that by some kind of miracle the final break gives us some explanation and we discover that Mike is actually alive and well... If not I think I'll just start looking for a good alternative ending because I can't stop crying!! Maybe some well written fanfiction or something... Oh well, have you also noticed something weird about the ending that makes you hope for a big twist in the final break??? Answer please! |

| Disappointed?? I disagree with you. It was a powerful ending. Read this to see why they chose how the series ended: http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/05/...y+ending%27%3F |

| I don't understand why some people say they are disappointed. Guys, this is PRISON BREAK. Did you honestly expect everyone to live happy ever after and just walk away beating the bad dudes. This is prison break and that is why we love it. Because we never knew what would happen in the next episode, or who will survive in the end of the day. I am glad that the writers didn't go with another typical series finale, even though (as I said in another thread) I would have preferred it, the show to end showing all the characters going back in prison while there is sad music in the background and the camera is zooming out but this ending was non the less memorable |

| yes you are right about Kellerman but I understood his situation in that way: When the woman spat in his face he realises that he will never be able to redeem himself for what he did in the past and will live a lonely live, illusional political life trying to fix his past mistakes while he knows no amount of good work can fix them. At least that is how I interpreted his ending |

Why does everyone expect Sara to be a complete wreck? She has a son now and a new life. She was on a rocky path prior to meeting Michael, struggling to stay on the straight and narrow and really trying to redeem herself. She probably felt responsible for the person's death because she was so high on drugs, she couldn't use her medical expertise to save their life. I mean, she was a big mess. And it isn't like they had been together for very long and really knew each other. We didn't really see much of them together and bonding. Tension, stress, strain, conflict, lack of trust, and emotional distance was characteristic of their relationship. They were never a completely happy couple, sharing all those tender moments and become closer to each other. We never saw this. I'm sure people wished it had happened, but most of their ideas of MiSa come from their imaginations, not from what was actually portrayed on the TV screen. How many times did one of them try to get close to the other--reach out for a hug, bend over for a kiss, or say I love you--only to have the other person ignore them? It's very likely that if Sara had not been pregnant and Michael had not died, they would have never stayed together. They may have tried to make it work, tried to be together, but I'm not convinced their relationship would have lasted because they never had much on one to begin with. Their entire relationship revolved around one trying to save the life of the other--period. Now, don't get me wrong, it would have been sweet if they had had a real relationship and had known each other. And I certainly believe that both characters deserved to find love and peace, but I'm only going by what was shown, here. Quote:
