I sure hope they don't give all the characters happy endings. That would be too boring and would in no way be memorable. I think it's the threat of danger....and the growing death count....that makes the story so intriguing for many...and it's what keeps viewers caring about the characters. If we all knew they would get a happy ending, none of the things that have happened thus far would have meant a thing...they wouldn't have affected us. And I have to agree: Michael needs to die. I've been saying this for months and months and months...it's the best kind of ending I can think of. I just hope when he does go down, it's something good.

But that's what makes it so interesting...so compelling....we worry that he may die...and it makes us care more. Of course from a certain perspective we don't want him to die...but from a storytelling POV it makes the most sense...and it's the most compelling. Anyway, I don't think he could have a happy ending. It seems to me he has so many issues, not including the issues with the company and what happened after the escape. If they do keep him alive, I think the show should end with Mikey in a straight jacket....locked up in a mental institution somewhere.

id only be at peace with michael dying if sara died too.. otherwise, the dreamer that i am, i hope he and sara have happy ending............. guess im a sucker for happy endings, but we are all different.

i just dont like it when good people go thru so much, only to die..... like some movies that come to mind..

Ehh, I don't know about that, being I don't think they are really in love. They haven't known each other...just a few months...most of which they spent apart. Their relationship is rife with complexity and issues, anyway. I think it would be true to the story if perhaps maybe he died saving someone's life....or he could just lose his mind...

Happy endings can be good. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying I want every story to end with pain and misery. I just think if this is the final season, there isn't enough time to give Michael a happy ending. Like Mahone, for example, he's another example. I don't think any ending would be good enough, not after all he's been through and what he has lost. I can see Linc perhaps getting a somewhat happy ending, being reunited with LJ and maybe building a relationship with Sofia if things work out...and maybe Sucre as well....he has a baby now

i also think that michael should die...not like i wish him something bad...but in way that when sara was killed,everyone was shocked and talking about it like it was pretty hardcore...then they brought her back and it ruined almost whole story from s3(in my eyes)...so i think it´d be good for storyline if there would be more hardcore scenes and deaths....this time for good

It's not the kind of show, IMO that can keep having season after season of breaking out of prisons.... so therefore, unlike say, shows like Supernatural or Heroes, to name just a few... this is a show that desires a natural end to it... IMO... they should go out with all guns blazing.... make a memorable ending... etc... kill off a few of the primary actors...

IMO, they made a crucially bad mistake reinstating Sara's character after telling us all she was 'dead' even, if they covered it up by saying that she never died....
Up to then, the show was great for me... but from that point, they made one or two characters/actors bigger then the overall show.... I hope they don't repeat that mistake...

I'm now kind of thinking that Sara at least will be there til near the end, as writers etc... will want to make the point that bringing back her character etc... was worth it... They will now be forced to drum up support for the love affair of the century... I dunno... I still don't buy it... but I suppose, each to their own....

Personally, I would like to see some of them die over this series.... I am not so sure we are going to get a fifth season... They have done really well so far, in stretching it our this far, IMO.... I hope not all of them have their happy endings... for the sake of the show....

It will leave a better lasting thought and memory then.....

you´re right i think someone should die in this season....and i dont know i think it´s gonna be last season of PB...at least i can´t imagine what 5th season would about...maybe again escape from prison ^^^ ...seriously i got your point smiley...at least where you mentioned comparing with spn and heroes...

final season?hmmmm that depends.if they are gonna come up with a new series as exciting as this one...sure!but if not i want it to continue to 5th season.and it's not gonna be my problem it's the writers' problem!they're smart.they can come up with something.
oooh i have an idea...michael opens up a store selling plans and stuff for breaking out.providing tools and plans for his customers and charge them(depending on the prisons..low security....)
(last paragraph was a joke but i don't see why not??!!!)

maybe lj will have to break out of prison in season 5........... of course, after everyone else dies first . heh heh.
