Connections between the British East India Company and The Company

I don't know much about the history of the British East India Company, but it seems to be very similar to The Company shown in Prison Break. They had influence over the crown, power over the economics, and they also have force power (military). At first they were just a monopolized commericial company with special rights granted by the crown, but it took over gradually. Until the British Crown assumed direct rule in 1858 by dissolving the Honourable East India Company. Do you guys see any connections? This would be an interesting topic...because I think the fictional "The Company" may be a real thing. It would be great if you guys could help me unearth the connections and similarities. I don't think it's just theories, if it happened in the past, it may be happening right now too.

Even imagining "The Company" in the real world is horific but the society we live in these days are disgusting and i wouldn't be suprised if it was true .....

Oh Lol..... What a laugh they would have with SMiley... I swear it's like WW3 evert single morning in my house trying to get Mini Me up and ready for school on time.... LOL!!!!

I agree with u on that totally, tho i think they appear alot worse in Prison break. But yeah, there could easily be a figure that controls major movements, and could be behind controvosies such as 9/11

i couldn't agree more, it may be fiction in prison break, but i could imagine this going on in the world we live in.

east indian company...wasn't that a company from britain that colonized parts of the world back when all the countries were 'free to claim'? i dont think it applies to 'the company' which is more like influencing politics within a single country/countries.
