Why Caroline Raynolds had to make Steadan dissapear?

I don't understand this... Does anyone know why Caroline had to use someone that will apparently kill her brother, and why her brother agreed for that? (to dissapear)

And don't know why he agreed to be a part of all this but I think his death guatanteed Carolne being a president. I mean when people see the Vice President's brother had been killed and the killer got caught on the same day, it means she and her political party do a great job...

Well, I know this explanation is not the best but it's the only one I could think of... But my theories are rarely right

Was it not to do with echofield?
It was said that every shareholder would have killed steadman maybe he made a few wrong turns at echofield.

The reason Caroline agreed to it is because of echofield and the fact that the tape everyone was talking about proved that she and her brother ad a relationship together. Which, for any person would be damaging.

Oh, by the way, I just read somewhere that Steadman had many debts. So he had an advantage in pterending to be dead.

YEs .... and the company oculdnt afford losing the presidency coz of her brother , coz she have that story with him , so they didnt kill him , but they made him dissapear ....and they convicted lincoln , wich was i think a random thing till now ...

I don't know why she wasn't involved more in the end of season 2 it was quite dissapointing that she just dissapeared after she stepped down from president.

I guess she's not important anymore. Now Caroline is not as powerful as before...
