Howdy fellow Euro Gold Finch lovers, I heard an insane rumor from a friend of mine last night who teaches biology at a local college here and I wanted to run it by your Finch aficionados. Apparently, a scientist who works at a nearby genetic research center in Chicago is looking to crossbreed the European Gold Finch with the COMMON city PIGEON. The goal is to try and create a smaller, less territorial breed of city birds that will consume less and will hopefully migrate to warmer climates during the winter months. It all sounds very strange to me –anyone have thoughts?

Approximately he wants to say that a scientist who works in a genetic research center in Chicago seeks to cross a EGF with a pigeon of the cities. Its goal is to try to create a bird which can consume less and which could migrate towards the hot climates in winter (--> Panama perhaps?). Good most interesting in this message is rather the localization of the research center which is close to Chicago Spoiler:
"However it is known that Michael, Sara, Linc and K-man are precisely in Chicago"

Thats so cool how they could do that also they had that one message it was like Fish40 or something and it said Bolshoi Booze.

I can't see anything behind the tree.

But, I have been through the site several times, and the messages are just too cryptic... (apart from the glaringly obvious ones). I'm wondering if there is anything in the other messages, or if they are red-herrings to throw us off and give us something to do while we wait for the next episode!

Maybe the messages about the South West sightings also have some relevance. Talking about seeing the birds in New Mexico, Albuquerque etc. It could refer to the convicts and where they have last been seen.....or i could just be reading too much into it!! Either way it's fun to speculate and I think the idea of having this website is fun, I wonder how many hits it must have had...the number of people who must have decided to check it out after it was mentioned on the show, great idea!!
