What's up with Wisthler? dit he get his book from susan? i dont think he can be trusted, he works for the company i think...

any guesses .....?

He doesn't seem to know what's going on himself, although he could be
pretending. The company wants him to take them to the place he took
that researcher guy he was talking about. The book seems to have rough
details of where he took him and how to get there. I can't wait to find out
what's there. It must be something major for the company to go to these
lengths.

But if The Company is so interested in the book and the coordinates that are in it - why did Susan return it to Whistler?

He was adamant about getting it back, so I guess there's some other
things in there that he doesn't want them to know about. It looked like
it was all in code, so they really do need him to find that place the
researcher was. If it just had normal coordinates in, they probably
wouldn't need him.

There is something specific only he can give them with that book. What exactly it is, I don't know. Is he working for the company and lying to Mike? I think that is a possibility too.

I totally get that but what I don't understand is why he was given it now as opposed to them handing it over to him the minute he escapes. Wouldn't it make more sense for them to keep ahold of it in case he should not escape or die in the process? Even if it was some elaborate code they would have people who specialize in cracking things like that.

Either way - something just doesn't seem right about him to me.

If he does not escape or dies, the book will be useless anyway. But I
agree with the code cracking thing. Surely a powerful organization like
the company could hire some top notch code crackers. I guess the reason
why they still need whistler as well as the book is something we have to
look forward too.
