| Although, it would be a nice thought that the paintings/murals etc.. might have a more interesting meaning ... I think, at this stage, even that looks doubtful as Mikey hasn't, to be fair, stopped for even a single second to even admire them!!! They don't really seem to have a big part in it so far.... but who knows!!!! My guess is that they are just there, as Gewyer said because they would have been most likely done by other prisoners to pass time and make both their mark and to make the place look less depressing!!! They really are a mishmash of pretty colours though!!!! LOL!!! ![]()

| Its an interesting theory. But I dont think The Company would have had time to create them... They only decided to get Mike to break Whistler out in the Second season. They didn't know Mike's skills untill he had broke Linc out in the first one. Who knows! Only time will tell |

| good idea... maybe it resembles that the prisoners in sona dont have anything left but to believe in the gods! and they feel a need to draw them on the walls as symbols. if you look most of the shots of michael are next to ither jesus or an angel *representing good things* where-as, sammy n bellik are usually shot next to the devil, or some obscene picture of a skelltington for example. just a guess |

| I think it's interesting that Michael has a mural of Jesus on one wall of his cell and a mural of a devil on the other at the beginning of the season. It's symbolism for the main point of Season 3 -- Michael's struggle to choose whether he settles internal and external conflicts with benevolence or malevolence. He certainly was tempted to do evil, and had more than enough chances to do so. It was about 50-50 with him, I think the point was you never quite knew how Michael would react. I think the message is: we all have some good and evil in us, and the real fun is in seeing what people do when backed into a corner. Michael didn't want to kill the druggie in the first episode (Mahone did it for him, and saved him in the process), he didn't put the ring in the blood as T-Bag wanted him to, he didn't shoot Susan when he had a very opportune moment to do so (and I think not shooting her was wise for a couple of reasons), and he told the truth to the commanding general of Sona about the escape while clearly imperiling LJ in the process. All of these can be considered good by most. But....he also didn't speak up after the escape attempt (allowing one of Lechero's men to be shot, even though he didn't really know it would happen), he rigged the tunnel to collapse on Sammy, he forced his way out of the prison walls twice, and through his planning allowed a guard to be drugged without knowing what would happen to him. God I love this show. Last edited by joeyjoejoe : 03-18-2008 at 10:42 PM. |
