So I was re-watching a few season two episodes when I couldn't help but notice something ...

In "Map 1213" (2x05) Mahone tells the drug dealer he wants 1500mg of midazolam every 30 days.

In "Sweet Caroline" (2x19) he tells Sara that he takes 20mg a day.

But:
20mg x 30days = 600mg

That means when he goes to get his next batch he's still got some left:
1500mg - 600mg = 900mg

Now it's safe to say there as about a year between him killing Shales and getting thrown in Sona. For the sake of simplicity, lets say there are 30 days for every month of the year, 12 months in a year. Again for simplicity, lets say he was taking that 20mg dose for every day of that year. If he's got 900mg left at the end of every month, then:
900mg x 12mths = 10,800mg

So presumably Alex has 10,800mg of midazolam tucked away somewhere. What on earth was he planning on doing with it all?!

Yet i havent seen him take his drug since season 2 (Took some crack from Tbag in S3). Has his addiction gone? coz he was seriously cold turkey in season 3.

Yeah, he got over his addiction. It was heroin he took from T-Bag in season three, and then after the hearing he went off that and now he's clean. Be interesting to see if he has a relapse and takes any this season, but I'm doubting it. I think they're done with the druggie-Mahone storyline.

If he hasn't cracked by now over the death of his child, I don't know what else he would go back on drugs for... in all honesty...
