| Moderator ![]() ![]() | Taken from: http://www.mediaweek.com/mw/newslett...ider/index.jsp Ratings Breakdown: On your mark, get set…go. It’s the official start of the 2007-08 season! Led by Dancing With the Stars, ABC opened the season on a winning note, with a 21 percent metered market advantage over second-place CBS. Third in the overnights was NBC, followed by Fox, and a night of repeats on the CW. Blockbuster Dancing With the Stars stood head and shoulders above the rest, with the season-premiere at a 14.0 rating/21 share in the overnights from 8-9:30 p.m. Comparably, that outdelivered year-ago season opening Monday occupant Wife Swap (5.5/ 8 on Sept. 18, 2006) by a mammoth 145 percent. As for last night’s weak link, that’s easy: Josie Maran. Over at Fox, diluted Prison Break (#4: 4.7/ 7) was similar to it’s week-ago season-premiere, but week two of crime drama K-Ville dipped to a 4.5/ 7 at 9 p.m. -- 27 percent below it’s week-ago debut (6.2/ 9 in the overnights on Sept. 17, 2007). But retention for K-Ville out of Prison Break of a solid 96 percent makes it’s a compatible player.

| I'd wish PB had better ratings but I don't think the ratings will increase anytime soon. Plus I heard that PB could be up against Lost when Lost returns and gets the same timespot as PB. And that might not end well for PB ratingswise.

| Yeah, I still hope that Lost will get another time spot. It won't be back until February, at a lot can happen in that time.

| i dont think it'll pick up because not that many ppl will come in half way through the 3rd season of a show and stick with it. which sucks cos it has a HUGE following in aus and if no americans watch it then its cancelled and WE can't watch it |
