Ive been watching dvds re-watching lots of footage and whilst we have recently had interviews and comments that Michaels hands were dirty, to much guilt, he could never be happy, he has to pay for his sins, too many lives were lost during his quest to save his brother! However I think some of these had been adressed during the seasons and then moved on and away from them! Not carrying that with him, like that dark cloud that we are led to believe! I think that watching Season 3 and 4 actually cancels out those quotes from the writers and producers. Sona actually pulled the proof that Michael wanted that happy ending. He knew his family and Sara having a happy end was all he wanted! Even a conversation about him having children someday and how important Sara was to him. He knew when he thought Sara was dead that he was willing to lose his life avenging her death, he had nothing else to live for.....SO Why the hell did they not give him his happy ending? When he had everything he wanted, a wife he loved and a child on the way and a brother that was free and a nephew that was at school? I cant find that answer I know it was the writing, producing team who took that route and it seems they didnt care what the viewers thought, just that they wanted to go out with an impact! The daft storyline with the nose bleeds and his final sacrifice(makes me shake my head). But for me it leaves way too many questions and inconsitencies and even Robert Knepper said he thinks the fans will be sad with the outcome! So again I ask Michael did want a happy end so why did he not get it?

i agree with you too, he deserved that happy ending agter all he did for everyone, but i think that what they meant his that he would have died anyway because of the tumos activity on his brain, but it makes me very sad and dispointed, because of all people he was the one who fought until the end to be happy and then bum he dies to save sara and his baby... it's the only explanation... i think

I guess I'm not seeing what the big deal is about Michael dying at the end. The story's over and I thought the ending fit the story well. Michael sacrificed himself to give Sara and his unborn child a future. Also, for all the people that are blaming the writers and producers for killing off Michael you should also be looking at Wentworth Miller because it was his idea and he pushed big time for it because it thought it fit his character after everything Michael had been through. So if you're going to be mad at the writers and producers you should add Wentworth Miller to that list.

It's how Michael lived his life always for other people and never thinking about himself so if the ones close to him were happy he was happy.
