im so overwhelmed by this forum, trust me, i felt the same when i watched the last episode
im not giving any false hope but if we can recall, couple of episodes back, when linc and sarah were talking about michael's condition, linc said he's already 31, and their mom died at 30, and on the last episode i watched (that made me feel sad) four years later could make him 35, but the tomb shows he died at 31 and a month, so that tomb couldn't be his, at least, maybe.. heheh. what do you think guys?

it was the vegas episode sarah and linc were talking about it, and im not gonna grab the script but i recall it something like this:

linc explains that michael has the same condition that his 'dead' mother did.
sarah: 'how old was youre mum when she died'
linc: '31 .... michaels just turned 31'

and the dates on his tombstone if i recall add up to 31. with the amount of action they had in a short space of time its entirely possible that linc had said hes just turned 31 as in michael had his birthday at the start of the season, and by the end only a month has passed.

just my two cents.

its just a wild imagination,haha....

cant think of it that from the time michael avenge sarah's "death" up to the moment they hug on the beach, it only took a month, but like you said, its really possible

i felt so sorry for him he didnt even see his kid
