| After looking around in this forum reading other peoples topics and posts i decided to register and share my thoughts with you about (what else?) , the ending of Prison Break.. To begin with, i have been watching Prison Break since the very first episode. From the beginning i knew i would love it and this was the show for me... After 4 seasons or 4 years, Prison Break is in my heart. I love everyone, the cast is absolutely amazing and it is always giving me the sense that they are hurt, sad, happy, like there where no actors but this was happening in real life... Now to get to the point: Why kill Michael?? How they dared to do this?? ...Yes ok, i admit it, the end was epic, thrilling, amazing, sad blah blah blah... But for 4 seasons Michael has endlessly tried to help everybody, help everybody, help himself, protect, escape, run, survive.. So in the finale, he manages to (FINALLY!) get what he was fighting for, with every power he had left and every way he could, and i mean his Freedom of course and the freedom of people he loved... And when he finally does that, he dies?? After all, all he succeeds to do is end up in graveyard?? It's too cruel, too UNFAIR for Michael, he didnt even get to see his son for CHRIST'S Sake. The writers did not respect his character and what he had gone through at all! To me, this isnt just a "sad" ending, as most people unfortunately say.. it is a tragedy... I cant accept it, and i cant stand thinking that Michael was alive and happy with Sara at the beach.. and then after 5 minutes (4 years flashforward), the tombstone says MICHAEL J. SCOFIELD For once in the whole Prison Break series i hoped that the writers would give justice to all the characters , give them what they deserve, but hell, i was wrong.. anyway, doesnt matter, what happened happened, i guess i will now have to live with it.. too bad though by a big Prison Break fan, thanks for reading Last edited by PanosDr : 05-19-2009 at 05:52 AM. | In a sense he did get what he deserved. Do you have any idea the body count this show has racked up . All because of Michael, had he not went to Fox River and broke out with all the other criminals they would all still be alive today, except Lincoln not to mention the countless number of lives ruined in other ways. You are all giving the man too much credit. All the bloodshed in this show is on his hands. Is one life(Lincoln's) really worth the countless that are dead ? Yeah he brought down the Company , so good on him but does that really make up for all the bad things that have happened on his account ?

| Although the ending was by no means completely satisfying, i think you summed up yourself why the writers killed Michael: 'Yes ok, i admit it, the end was epic, thrilling, amazing, sad blah blah blah' If all the characters had just walked off into the sunset it would have been a bit of a 'oh, is that the end? that was boring...' kind of ending. The writers needed to create a high impact 'wow' factor ending, and i believe they did this. |

You make some valid points, but it's not Michaels fault. It's the companys fault. They started it, Michael just tried to survive. | |

| I too have just watched the finale show can't believe it is all over. That was a great show and the only show I have watched consistently for tha last few years and the sole reason for getting Sky which I will now cancel!! The ending was a little to final and neat for my liking. I was hoping for a little twist. Maybe it will come back for a one off or film which shows Mchael faked his death so he could continue with his next assignment/ protect his family. or he is now working for MI5 to protect the world!! I have spent far too long thinking about this anyway it was a good show that I will miss. ![]() Miss Dee |

| We could argue back and forth till we are blue in the face on this subject and some deaths are debatable. No one can blame the company for TBag though. That was all Michael , therefore he is absolutely responsible for every horrible thing TBag ever did on the run and still that alone is enough to justify his death. It reminds me of this quote....Show me a hero and I'll write you a tragedy....because there are never really any true heroes. There is always something you have to do to be a hero that isn't justifible. Which is why more times than not heores die.

| Drama, do you say that T-Bag is certifiably insane? It would be better then to put him in the locked ward of the prison or better in a mental institution. The warden shouldn´t be blamed when T-Bag kills and rapes other inmates in gen pop.

| Nope Sonny, in order to be certifiably insane as far as the judicial system is concerned , you have to not know the difference between right and wrong. I think TBag knows when he is doing something that it's wrong he just chooses not to care . He never does anything right ..lol..so that isn't an issue.
