Does the Hiatus PB takes hurt the ratings and do they increase? I'm just wondering if the hiatus they take could be the reason of FOX not renewing them.

It has nothing to do with it. They've done it this way since season 1. It's just the competition. There are a lot of people that like to watch washed up actors attempting to dance.

Break. The will stop airing eps for a while, usually from some time towards the end of Novemver/beginning of December to some time in January. All the other shows do it do, it's nothing PB specific.

Every show does the hiatus that has a season that extends beyond like 14 or so epsiodes...

It starts in the fall...finishes up mid to late spring. Nothing new.
