Talks are under way but nobody knows if there getting renewed. Come on' this is one of the best shows on TV

That article doesn't have anything to do with renewal. There were discussions about adding another 2 episodes on this season and that's what they are referring to. They're trying to make up for the fact that we got shorted 9 episodes last season.

Is that what it is? This article has caused a lot of speculation, and people are saying different things. I think the most common thought is that they are adding two additional episodes, which would consist of the series finale. The writers have stated they know...or at least have an idea...about how they would like the series to end. They might have assumed they would be getting renewed for another season, but with things so shaky now, they may feel it's best to end things on their terms. This would work best because if they do get another season, there is the possibility the network will pull the plug before they can end the story.

The decision to renew isn't made until March at the very earliest. If it is the end, it hasn't been announced. The media is creating all the rumors that the show is getting canceled and that's exactly what they are, rumors.

Way before the season every started there was discussion about adding an extra 2 episodes to this season. It looks like they may be trying to do that now. This came straight from someone at Fox who knew about this before the season even started.

When the producers come forward and say they are ending it or when the fall schedule for next year is announced by Fox is when it will be known definitely what is happening, but until then everything is rumors and speculation.

I don't know if it's confirmed yet, but definitely a possibility. I think they're looking at doing something like the 2 hour 24 episode that is coming up later this month.

I'd be begrudgingly happy for this to be the last season. Better to go out on a high than fade away and get cancelled, as the declining viewing figures would suggest could happen.

I'd rather have them come back for at least 1/2 a season to end the story properly. I don't think they have enough room left this season with what lies ahead.

I think they could end the show this season and still be able to give us a satisfying...or at least memorable...ending. I don't want them to try to stretch the story out just because they need to fill in another season...and then get canceled in the middle of it. I think they should make a decision about when the story should end, and then stick to it.

I don't know, there's an awful lot of information coming up in the next few episodes. They've already said that they need about 7 or 8 episodes to get to the ending so unless they've started that I don't think it's all going to fit into this season.
