| Hi Guys, I'm new to the boards and have been following (as best as possible) the awful news about Lane's tragic accident. Being in the UK, it's hard for me to keep ontop of the progress. Does anyone know the latest? Last reports I can see state that there have not been any charges made yet but the details have been passed to the big guns in LA. I also read that Lane has been taken into hiding by his lawyer... If anyone (US based or not) has any advance on this, that'sd be great. Thanks N x |

In addition, the Beverly Hills police also revealed Wednesday (Jan. 31) that Garrison had cocaine in his system on the night of Dec. 2. The case has been turned over to the Los Angeles County District Attorney, though the police recommended that Garrison be charged with vehicular manslaughter. A 17-year-old male passenger in Garrison's car was killed in the accident, while two 15-year-old girls were also injured. According to media reports, the Beverly Hills police said that Garrison's blood alcohol level at the time of the accident was .20 percent, well above California's .08 threshold. At the time, Garrison's attorney claimed that his client had only had a single margarita on the night of the accident and was not impaired. In addition to the felony gross vehicular manslaughter charges, investigators have asked prosecutors to charge Garrison with driving under the influence (with an enhancement due to the degree of impairment) and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The most serious of the charges carries the potential of 10 years in prison. Garrison played Tweener on FOX's "Prison Break" for parts of the show's first two seasons, though the character was killed off last fall. | |
